Would You Become A Vampire?

If you had the choice and could become a vampire would you choose to?
Potentially living forever and not aging would be amazing so I think it would be worth it.
However not being able to go out in the day and constantly having to stress about being in by sunrise would be pretty shit :: vampire
 
No. I wouldn't.
That would be putting every human I came into contact with in danger. Living forever (even if I had the desire to live forever, which I don't) wouldn't be worth that.
 
Nope, no way, no how. I don't want to live forever, I could never give up sunlight, lossing my soul is possibily the most horrific thing I could imagine and there is no way I will miss out on having a family of my own. The Vampire life just isn't for me.

What if you could be a vampire like Angel or Spike and can keep your soul?

Maybe if I were a mix of both than yeah
I could do without the sunlight, and "family of my own"-wise it wouldn't make a difference anyway... but the only thing worse than physical immortality for me would be physical immortality without a soul. So I'd definitely pass.

Still no garuntee of sunlight or a family. I would live to watch anyone I ever care about die. All the youth and beauty in the world would mean nothing to me if I couldn't actually live my life the way I would want to.
 
If I could become a Connor-like vampire I definitely would. After all he's basically kind of like a male slayer, so yeah I'd be like Connor if I could, but not a full-fledged vampire

Except that Connor isn't a vampire. He's superhuman. A Changeling, maybe, or something similar, but not a vampire.
Depends in what universe your a vampire in.
Buffyverse: hell no. I like my soul right where it is and I am so not into killing people.
And even if you went with the Twilight universe, no. I want to get married, have kids, see them grow up and die (meaning I want to die, not see my kids die. That would just be horrible). In that order.
 
Have decided loooooong ago: yep, I would. Just like in a song: "sleep all day, party all night" 🙂
Immortality is good in a sense of having lots of time to go places, see people, learn stuff...
 
Depends what universe.
Buffyverse? No. I don't wanna lose my soul and all that. I suppose I might want to if I had a soul and/or my very own Spike, though.

If it was something like the Twilightverse? Definitely. Their "vampires" are pretty much just blood-drinking superheroes. Plus, I don't really want to have kids, so that's not much of an issue.

Nah, the thought of living forever, scares the beejesus out of me. I'd just end up getting really depressed, going for a tan, drinking some jack and holy water. No it wouldn't be good.
 
I'd so be a vampire. 😀 Live forever, stay young, super-strong? Oh and the killing. (sw) And then if I've lived for centuries and can't take the immortality anymore I can just go for a wee walk in the sun. 🙂

I don't know. Maybe there's a spell you could do to make you immortal, but not necessarily dead. That way you get to enjoy life (children and what not) but not have to deal with all the complications of being a vampire. But then how would you die when you finally decided you've had enough?
 
With my curiosity and 'hungry" spirit it will hardly become enough. Even in Buffyverse being vampire ain't that bad - look at Dru having no problems with it.
Leaving aside my preferred VTMverse.
 
I'd get tired of living. Forever is way to long. Would it be cool to see the future? Definitly, but I don't want to wait a hundred years to see it. But it is cool to think about being around forever. But when I really think about it, it's too long. I just wanna live my life and leave something of myself behind when I die. And I'll be good. lol.
