Okay, just another poll. With who of the characters would you have become friends, who would you have liked as persons, who would have been your nemesis at school? ... If you would have had persons in your school who would have had the same personality as these characters, but different appearances, would they have become your friends?

I guess Oz would have been, because well he's normal, though Jonathan comes close too, not that I 'm a nerd, I just don't like popular kids that much, in fact I dislike 'em and therefor seem to be strange and weird, am I? Anyway Xander and Willow too, but that's it!

I'd have to say Xander. He's not particularly popular, but he's more involved than Willow was during the first season. She seemed like a loner if Xander wasn't there. Plus, all my friends have killer senses of humor, so that's another reason.

Absolutely Xander, Oz, Willow & Jonathan. I really doubt I'd become friends with anyone else. Oz and I would get along 'cause he's the most down-to-earth person. We're both kind of laid-back and mellow. I'm the kind of person who doesn't say a lot when I'm around people. Xander & I would be friends because of his sense of humor. Willow would probably be the first person I'd be friends with because she's sort of geeky without really being geeky; which is almost exactly like me "˜cept I'm not as smart. Plus, she's sweet and willing to be friends with anybody. Lastly, Jonathan is another quiet type, although I don't get made fun of or anything, but still, I'd be willing to form a friendship with someone like him. He was caring, but nobody seemed to notice or care, & I'd notice right away.🙂

Willow would def be one of the people i'd make friends with most...shes more reserved like me....i think we would click the first time we met...shes just like one of those people you have everything in common with for me...

Willow and Zander...Willow because she is down to earth, sweet, and loyal. Zander all that and a sarcastic sense of humor!! I looove sarcasm. I would probaly prefer to date Zander though...not just be friends. He's totally my type! I would have avoided Cordelia and Harmony because they were so shallow...Faith because, although I like to have a good time, I don't like to break any laws. And Buffy could be a good friend...when she wasn't fighting demons, vamps, and brooding over her lost love Angel.

I'd be friends with Willow since although I was never in AP classes, I had a bunch of friends who were. Plus, she was so sweet in High School that we'd get along really well.

Oz....hmmm...as much as I adore the guy, I think in real life, I'd kind of overlook his charm, unless we had a class together. He's so quiet and kind of eccentric that I'd be unsure about him. I've been drawn to quiet guys, but I tend to like guys who are more...clean cut? Preppy? Somethin'. The painted nails and spiked bracelet would have, ummm, turned me off?? (DON'T FLOG ME!!! I still think he's all kinds of wonderful!!!)

I bet I'd be good friends with Willow, even though I like Buffy and Faith more. Willow is just the kind of person I'd be drawn to as a friend. I'd also probably end up being friends with Wesley (lol), just because I have a lot of friends who are adults also.

most likely for me i'd probally would have been freinds with all except cordy, harm and maybe wes i have a the personality where i'm friends with the lonely the popular(non-rude) the jocks thefunny the wacky the everything bla bla bla you know but xander reminds me of another guy i know in real life

This poll had exactly the effect it though it would have, a lot of us would have been friends with Willow, Xander and Oz, some even with Anya and Jonathan and even a few with Faith. But nobody for Wesley, Cordy or Harm. And the best part is I think nobody likes our main character 😀! So how come? Does this say something about us or about the characters?

I think it's because we view Buffy as being untouchable. I like and admire Buffy, but I don't really relate to her on very many levels, so I can't see myself buddying up to her. It's kind of interesting that I feel that way though, because her best friends were very much the boy and girl next door. So she's obviously attracked to normal people.

In The Prom, Jonathan tells her that no one really took the time to get to know her (baring, of course, Xander, Will, and Oz). I think had I been at that highschool I would have watched her from afar, and probably be in awe of her.

She's cold and distant. I am too and it's a fact that I get repelled by people who act alike, I don't know what it is, but I can't stand 'em, even though they are sometimes nice. I would indeed also be looking at her, because I like to keep my "enemies" close. But I'd look down on her.

I think I'd have found Buffy rather intimidating, because she was so intense and focused on (what *was* she focused on? and why did she keep disappearing...?)

Willow would be the one I'd want as a friend, because in her "geek" phase we would have had so much in common: bookworms, honor students, hanging around the computer labs... I had a mild interest in the occult at that age, too. And Willow was even *nice*, which is more than I can say for myself in high school.

Cordelia and the Cordettes (I'd have lumped Anya in with them) I would have despised (and it probably would have been mutual, given my sarcasm level at the time).

Xander and Jonathan I would have liked, but felt slightly superior to (for different reasons, of course).

Faith and Oz I would have considered *really* cool, but since I didn't consider myself cool, I probably would spoken to them only when spoken to, so as not to inflict any unwanted company on them.

I would probably been a Giles and Wesley "hanger-on" big-time, but at my high school teachers weren't "friends" with students (at least not after that 16-year-old was seen openly dating her married history teacher...)

Gee, thinking about all of this makes me so *glad* I'm no longer in high school...
