Let's forget about season 8, would you have liked to see Dawn finding a boyfriend in season 5 upto season 7? Any ideas who it could have been?

Only if it were some guy who would not put up with her temper tantrums and childish behavior. I don't want anyone who would slap her around or anything like that, but maybe stuffing a pillow in her mouth every time she starts screaming, "Get out, get out, GET OUT," would be beneficial to her and appreciated by everyone in the near vicinity.

No, I think it was nice that she was a normal teenager without a boyfriend. I mean, every member of the Scoobygang had a bf/gf at one point when they were in high school. But not every teenager has a romantic life at that period. Plus, with everything going on I think Dawn having a boyfriend would have been used as a plot device (like this vampire who wanted to turn her on Halloween night in S6) or would have been one too many details to put up with.

And can you imagine how Buffy would have been acting? Newly becoming legal guardian and having to deal with her baby sister having a boyfriend? I think she would have been a nightmare to the guy XD

It'd be a little weird for me to see it. Because of her behavior, she always feels too childish to me to have a boyfriend. I know teenagers and some kids have a boyfriend/girlfriend, but Dawn never seemed mature enough to have a boyfriend. Maybe a boy-very-good-friend.

Yeah it would have been probalby weird!
I would have liked to see a boyfriend for Dawn. But well just in season 7 because I could imagine that the story could get terrible wrong and ridiculous. I had the hope that a boyfriend could rise Dawn out of some teenager-behavior! 🙂

Dawn wasn't mature enough to be in a relationship. I can't imagine her ever being mature enough to be in a relationship 😛

I still love her though 😀 Maybe thats why I like her characters. She's just her. She doesn't have anyone else defining her.

I was going to say, that if they didn't have all the Potentials running around, then it might have been nice (because there were too many characters already with the Potentials for a new one to be given any kind of focus) but then I read:

and I changed my mind. 🙂

Wow. First time since a long time that I read a post in which someone changed his opinion! :D

Perhaps Dawn should have been with Kennedy instead of Willow. 😉

Firstly I liked the idea but then Dawn has to be lesbian too and well, I'm a boy and very egoism ;D

Nope. Plus, I am pretty sure they couldn't have picture Dawn as a lesbian... I don't know exactly why but... it's a Summers thing (if I read something about Buffy's "experience" in S8, I might scream, by the way....)

Willow should be with Fred. Except she's dead.

The Scourge agrees: She passed up Fred because she was with Kennedy. Is Willow insane!?

I know! How insane is that?? To reject Fred for someone like Kennedy??
Ever since Willow came to Angel and her and Fred flirted, I ship them, because they're so right for each other.
Umm... Is Illyria available?

No I wouldn't have liked a boyfriend for Dawn, for starters I like the point Vamp Jenny made about not everyone having a romantic life at that point in their life, and secondly I kind of feel that with everything going on in Dawn's life (knowing that she was some created mystical property only apart of reality because her 'sister' is a superhero with a super-secret identity and in constant mortal peril, not to mention Buffy dying, Buffy-bot, Buffy returning...) It just seems like piling all of this on top of normal teen angst romance would have been the furthest thing from Dawn's mind (and even if it wasn't, she was a teen girl after all, it seems like it would just have been too much of a mess to have her in a relationship... because of her personal stuff and because of Slayer stuff... unless she could have dated some kind of supernatural dude who knew about all that, but at that point in the series that had just been done to death, hadn't it?)

So in short, I prefer Dawn single and struggling to find her place in a world to which she actually knew that, regardless of memories, she was actually quite new to.

🙂
