Would you have wanted Faith in more of Buffy/Angel?

I was thinking today about how she's one of the most iconic characters from the series, but how she really isn't in it all that much. The parts she is in are some of the best of either series, but there are long, long absences for her as well. Would you have wanted more Faith? In which series? Or would it have been better to just leave it like they did?

She couldn't be in Buffy that much because it's called Buffy the Vampire Slayer. By definition the Buffster has to be the center of attention and having someone else who can do the same stuff she can would tarnish the image.

Likewise on Angel, the Broody One is the main focus so having someone who can beat him physically hurts the show. She would also make Gunn and Wes redundant as combatants except in the most dire circumstances.

I would have liked to see a spin off or continuation focusing on Faith after BtVS ended as Faith's character and what Eliza Dushku brought to the role would have been great as a central character. Sadly a Slayer can never really be a sidekick.

She was great in season 3 and every single episode she was in on Angel, but nothing was done with her character in season 7.

I would have liked to have seen her in more ANGEL or at least killed in ANGEL by Angelus after that awesome fight they had, HA! Otherwise, nah, I had my fill of her.

I never liked her much on Angel, because she does not really work well alongside/as a part of a team of other characters, but on Buffy Faith was the perfect foil for the main character. Once she went through her redeemed arc though, Faith became pretty much redundant for both shows. She would have worked best on her own show, as it was suggested. She is obviously not a side kick, nor a partner - she works best as a reluctant ally or a seed of discontent.

I don't know, I would have liked more Buffy/Faith friendship I guess but on the whole I'm pretty pleased with the apperances she does make on both shows, though later on they're limited. It only makes sense that they would be (what with prison and all) and I love her as a guest star on Ats but I don't think I'd have enjoyed it if she became a regular.. I don't feel she would have fit as a regular on either show really.

Faith is my 3rd favourite character I love everything about her, I love her in season 3 of Buffy, I loved her as Buffy's friend then change into enemy. I have said in the past I would of liked her more in more episodes but Buffy was about one slayer which was Buffy and Angel was about a vampire with a soul protecting humans to pay for what he did in the past. Angel was all about leaving the sidekick role and handling demons himself. So if we got Faith to stay in Angel it would of just been Buffy earlier seasons all over again. I think Faith was fine in the episodes you got season 3 the new trouble slayer, season 4 revenge cause of Buffy stabbing her and ruining the Mayor's plan, Angel season 1 revenge again to hurt Buffy's love Angel then she paid for her time for killing a human, season 4 saving Angel and then season 7 Buffy help out the end of the world. So I liked how they brought Faith back in season but she was better as a extra then a main scooby 🙂.

Absolutely. I love Faith, and I would have loved to see more of her on either show. I actually think she would have made a wonderful addition to the main cast of "Angel" in Season 5, to give the show a little more estrogen admist all that testosterone.

I love Faith in both btvs and ats but to be honest I think there was the right amount of her in the series. Mainly cause it left me wanting to see more of her and I appreciated it when she was in an episode. Also her character needed time out to grow and develop better imo.

I think she would have fitted well in angel, although I'd have left her out of buffy until season 7, too much negative energy there.

Too much Faith would spoil the broth. I love all her appearances on both shows, but an overdose may have been overkill. That said, a Faith spinoff would be much welcome.

I have always wished that Buffy and Faith could have been much closer friends than they ever were portrayed as actually being. There could definitely be a place for her, either in Sunnydale or LA if Joss and Eliza had chosen to pursue the matter. The simplest way to include her on "Buffy" would have had her serve in a sort of "Slayer At Large" capacity, traveling wherever there was demon trouble with Sunnydale as her home base. That way, she could have been a semi regular on the show, staying there between missions. She could have occasionally recruited any or all of the regulars occasionally to help with her work, and helped them in turn when she was available.

In my opinion Faith was at her absolute best in salvage and release.... I liked her on buffy as well, but I agree, she took a major down turn in season 7 - with the exception of her moment in buffy's room "thank god we're hot chicks with super powers".

I know Faith isn't THE SLAYER. The main slayer and she isn't Buffy and all but I still would have liked to see her on Buffy & Angel more. Maybe stay in LA and join Angel's gang w/ Cordelia,Fred,Gunn and Wesley. That would have been cool because then they'd have a vampire slayer in LA. I really think that would have been interesting and I'd like that.
