Would you join The Scoobies?

I know that basicially everyone on here adores the show like i do and it got me thinking what people would choose to do if they lived in Sunnydale. I know its pure fantasy but i think it could make for an interesting thread.

As fans i've the show would you want to join Buffy and the rest of the gang thereby forming a close relationship with the characters you love?

Would you look in from the outside, keep your distance but be friendly to the Scoobies?

Or would you be too afraid to join in their efforts and just stay away from them altogether?

I'd be inclined to join the gang but the fear factor would probably make me think twice.

What would you do?
 
Going outside scares me (lol 🙁), so fighting monsters and all that? Nope. I wouldn't join the scoobies. I would be friendly, certainly, though.
 
Screw fear, give me an axe & show me where to point it ! I'd sign up in a frickin' heartbeat. The mortality rate in Sunnydale must be, well let's just say a tad over the national average and in reality only two scoobies (Tara & Anya) actually die & don't come back. What I'm saying is, you're probably safer having the slayer watch your back in that town.

Would I risk my life every other week fighting vampires, demons, werewolves and sometimes possibly puppets just so I could hang out with Buffy, Xander, Giles and Willow? Call me crazy but hell yhea I would. 🙂

Nah, the good guys in the Buffyverse are at too big of a disadvantage. The powers of darkness offer much better rewards. Plus it's really easy to repent as long as you don't kill anyone and if you're smart, you get to keep all the powers you gained from evil after you return to the path of righteousness.

Actually, you are allowed back on Team Good even if you kill people. Faith, Willow, Andrew, Anya...
I would totally join them. Their friendship was so loving and awesome, even with all that evil and everything, I would like to be a part of that group 🙂
 
I'd join them, definitely. I know it'd be risky but I'm a fight the good fight person and I've never been afraid to stand up for myself or others. I think the way I'd be is I'd feel bad if I DIDN'T help them. Especially once I knew what was going on in Sunnydale.

Plus, like pieceofgosa said; you've got more chance of surviving fighting alongside them then going about your regular life.
 
Only if they let me bring my guns. And maybe some grenades. And Buffy's rocket launcher. Maybe a Hummer with a 20mm Gatling gun mounted on the back. A flame thrower, definitely. Technology's too great to just ignore the way Buffy and her crew always did.
 
I'd be trying to attract the attention of D'Hoffryn to become a vengeance demon. That'd be an awesome gig. Otherwise, I'd join up with the scoobs if I had some sort of powers. If I was just like Xander then maybe not.
 
Seriously? I won't. I know myself. Vampires, demons, and hellgods? I'm gonna beg my parents to move to another country. I think if I sense danger, I'm gonna ask Buffy for help, but I won't join them in the killing or even research, I'm too much of a coward to do so.

I don't think it makes you a coward. You are the innocents they fight to protect. It's better to know your limitations than to run in half-cocked blinded to the dangers.
Because of the fear factor, i wouldn't join the Scoobies. I'd be friendly with them though.
 
Ok here's another question if you did decide to become a member of the Scoobies how would you introduce yourself? How would you explain how you know Buffy is the slayer etc?
 
Of course I would join them...I mean, if those things were real, I can't stay back and do nothing.I would like to work with knives like Faith usually does.:biggrin3:

Well, I know Buffy is the Slayer , because I'm a fan of the show, but I can't imagine Buffy herself appreciating that 😉.

To answer the original question: NO! I wouldn't join the Scoobies. I'd much prefer to have the life I have. I've always agreed with Virginia Bryce as well. I wouldn't want to become emotionally invested in a bunch of people who risk their lives like that, it's too much.
 
I have lots of dreams about slaying vamps and being a scooby and it never seems too bad, so sure, I'd sign up. 😀

Although, hm, would signing up for AI be even more fun? (I think so. 😀 )
