Would you like it if they brought the show back - set 10 years later

Yeah, if the story is good then why not? I'd prefer a reboot over a rehash though. Also, I think that some of you overestimate the importance of Spike and Angel. BtVS is Buffy, Willow and Xander. Every other character, even Giles, is ultimately expendable.

Most likely, yes!! After ten years I think the creative group and the cast could come back on such a fresh and quirky note. It would probably be much more modern mixed in with the old sets and stories.. I think it would defiantly work. I think watching anything new would be a nod to the original show and I would get excited about every reference to the older shows wether its a name, a set, or a prop. I would love it.

They're not all dead. Connor, Gunn, Illyria, Gwen, Kate, Harmony and Nina are all still very much alive as far as I'm aware. Although, in saying that, I'd pretty much only be interested if it was Connor, Gunn, Illyria or Gwen, lol.

I'll give you that, they aren't all dead, but the main ones are, Wesley, Gunn (? or at least I think, haven't read all the comics), Cordelia, Doyle, Fred. I never really considered Gwen, Nina or Harmony as main characters but I'd definitely like to see them again if they would do a re-boot. I've said a few times that Kate is one of my fav, so again I'd love to see her in a re-boot, it would just be weird since she wasn't even kept in AtS. I would also be really interested in an Illyria spin-off. She doesn't really have ties to anyone so they could work with her being the only known character and then get a new supporting cast.

Gunn's still alive. He was in A&F only a few months ago, along with Connor. He's very much in the land of the living.

I haven't read A&F yet, only AtF where he was a vamp (I mean even as a vamp he'd still be usable in a re-boot but that's why I considered him "dead"). Thanks for the clarification.

AtF concluded with Gunn being restored to humanity with Illyria watching over him as he recovered ;)
I am avoiding some of these posts 'cos I haven't read the comics yet, but I can imagine a few good ways to explain the two vamps aging.

As someone mentioned, I would love a futuristic take on Fray, but that would be way too expensive to produce.

Maybe not. They're doing so much sci-fi these days with heavy CGI-usage (Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome, Defiance, etc), that they don't need really elaborate sets or vehicles.

That's true, didn't think to compare to other show. Those they are pretty similar! I would love for this to happen!
I'd watch it but I think that because of the comics then a continuation would be insulting to any of us who have laboriously kept reading the comics. Although, if it allowed for the canon of the comics then I would love it!

Id love an Angel series to continue, but its not gonna happen most likely. That having been said i think a number of spin-offs could work but Joss has to make the time for them before that great dream can be actually realized. My suggestions would be a Watchers or Wolfram & Hart spin-off series. also a Ripper spin-off could work well. I think Illyria would work too, since she is covered in make up most often.

Possibly even a spin-off focusing on Faith, she seems to still look young.

with the original cast?

YES!!! As long as Joss did it. If not, I would be completely against it. It's always a gamble to bring something like this back, but I would be confident in Joss Whedon's abilities, so I wouldn't worry about it.

I would seriously die happy if they brought Buffy back a second time.

I was just thinking about this again last night and I think you are right. A great writer can make it work. Even give it a FRESH, NEW LIFE, not just more of the same, but the fact that they are all 10 years older makes for newer, richer stories, with richer characters.
