Its taken me this long but finally I have hit a mile stone.
4994 posts.

I would just like to thank my mum, my dad, Gerry the hamster and Marv without who I wouldn't have fresh fruit and veg.

Mind you if you include all the posts I make in Slaying Practice that would surely take my number up a few thou and add PMs to that and really 4994 means absolutely nothing, so what a pointless celebration.

Oh well, I guess you guys like this sort of thing!

Not cranky, I just don't get the point.
For a start, I didn't think they were allowed because they kind of glamourise the post count which is something we're not supposed to focus on.
Secondly its not even an accurate number, it doesn't take into account Slaying Practice, and why is that?
Oh yeah, because people focus on the post count.

Now we have threads being started by other members to congratulate members on hitting a number.

Not cranky, just commenting.

I agree with you actualy, this is the first forum i've been on where i haven't seen people get in trouble for it.

Yes, I did make a thread about my thousandth post (I'm happy to celebrate the fact that I have way too much free time on my hands), but in case you forgot (I would NEVER consider the fact that you didn't read the rules), the FAQ says this:

"Threads celebrating number of posts reached are allowed at every 500 posts. ie, 500, 1000, 1500 etc. Threads celebrating other post counts will be deleted."

So people are allowed to celebrate post counts in certain instances.

Isn't this board technically located in NY? Or maybe it's like that place Willow went in s.6 -- it moves around. What was that guy's name anyway?
 
I just hope that it doesn't becomes a trend that everyone starts a new thread that makes a comment on how pointless another thread is.
What a snowball effect it would be when people starts new threads to comment on how pointless the comment on that other pointless thread was etc. 🙂

But, I'm just gonna go with the fact that it's the internet, and if I want to pretend to be in Mexico so I can be pretend drunk, I'll do it. 🙂
