did anyone else love watching willow's descend into magic when she went to see rak with amy? i thought that was awesome. i always thought it was a metaphor for being addicted to drugs. i mean it was pretty trippy what willow was seeing when she had all that magic flowing through her. plus her eyes being dialated... I just loved this episode. The end made me lose it when Willow falls on the ground. I can really relate to her character in s6, I mean really. I know exactly how she felt at that moment. I was proud of her though changing so quickly because she realised what she had done. Great episode!!
 
I had mixed feelings about the magic-as-drugs metaphor, it was certainly transparent. How about the scene at the end where Dawn-with-the-broken-arm slaps crazed-Willow? I heard that Michelle Trachtenberg was reluctant to do it because of her respect for AH, but Alyson told her it was okay.

The magic-as-drugs metaphor continues for a good part of the season. The next episode "Gone" portrays Willow as a recovering addict. Transparent, once again. There's even the scene of her with the water bottle while she tries to work the computer without her magic.
 
yea it's all very metaphorical. i loved the whole storyline. michelle & aly did a great job in that seen. it would've been hard for me to slap her too! but they're both great actresses. i wonder how many takes it took them? poor aly!
 
OMG i loved this episode it is one of my all time favourite episodes !!!!
i loved the magic-drugs metaphor. when Willow goes to Racks place for the first time and rack does his magic thing on her and he's like 'you taste like strawberries', i love that line i think its way cool.and the first time she's high on magik and shes on the ceiling that was awesome and the music for it was wicked i loved it.
oh and the scene in the alley when willow is with Dawn,and Dawn is like are you okay, and Willow's like 'im fine everythings fine'when i watch that bit im like yeah if youre saying the word 'fine' that many times then im guessing everythings not fine lol.
the scene at the end when Buffy is annoyed with Willow and just walks away from her and then Willow breaks down onto the floor,my heart just went out to her.Willow was crying and everything but i was glad that she realised that she had done something wrong,and like they say you need to hit rock bottom to realise that you have a problem and admit it to yourself.but seriously this scene was so emotional,i loved it soo much.
this is definately one of my fav. eps of all time.
 
I thought this was a brilliant storyline. If magik exsisted I could totally get addicted to it. There is something appealing about it. There was some great acting involved in this storyline too.
