Mr. P educated me on something recently. Apparently there are a lot of Whendonverse connections to Smallville.

OK, so I got James Marsters, and writer Douglas Petrie, and is Drew Z Greenberg still there, and anyone else? Any 1 ep walk-ons from BTVS, or recurring characters, or anything like that?

I don't think Drew Z Greenberg is still working on Smallville, according to IMDb. But did you mean Stephen S DeKnight, rather than Doug Petrie, n4h?

Yeah, you're right damn. I hate it when I do that. One time I called Amy grant Aimee Mann, and when WB Network guy Jordan Levin was being such a dick to Angel I was calling him Johnathan Levinson. Oh and Googly Moogly. I always think it's Googly Woogly for some reason. :confused0 :banghead:

Jeez, this time those 2 names don't even sound alike, but for some reason I always put those 2 writers in kind of like the same rating category.

I've always thought Smallville was a bastard child of X-Files and Buffy. A lot of the monster-of-the-week episodes are very similar to older Buffy and X-files plots.

I hear that said about Charmed sometimes too.
I think you can connect anything to the Buffyverse. 🙂 Especially shows like Smallville, Veronica Mars (featured Charisma Carpenter, Alyson Hannigan, and Joss himself), and Supernatural (featured Amy Acker and Julie Benz). It's magical. 😉
