i know there are WWE fans on this site, so i wanted to post this here just in case you guys didn't know.

WWE Superstar Chris Beniot and his family have been found dead in their home. currently, there are no details released other than the fact that police are investigating.

Oh my God. His whole family was found dead? That's terrible. My prayers go out to all their loved ones in this difficult time. I wonder how that could have happened.
 
i'm so crushed right now. this is just so unbelievable. i've no idea what happened, but with the police involved, it's making me think the worst.
 
Well every death has an investigation by the police just to clarify the cause HOWEVER, when you read an entire family has been killed in something, the chances of its being natural causes or none-suspicious circumstances decrease immensely.

Having said that, I know of your love of all things WWE Alyson, and as much as the name means nothing to me, I feel sadness for you.
Its always a tragedy when a life is lost before its time.

Condolences to family, friends and the fans.

fans of the WWE will know, there's this thing going on recently with the Chairman, Vince McMahon, he was 'killed' in a limo explosion, which was a storyline for the show.

i'm just...wondering what's gonna happen with that now.

i actually can't express what's going through my head right now...it's just total confusion.
 
I don't know how to feel about this right now, I guess I'm having a hard time believing it. Chris Benoit gone? My mind just refuses to process that.

I'm monitoring all online and offline news for anything more on this.

i'm with you, OM. my mind just refuses to process the fact that he's gone. i mean, wasn't he on Vengence just last night?

i know this is gonna sound terrible, but i keep waiting for the other shoe to drop and someone to declare the whole thing a hoax...
 
Not cruel at all to think that, chica. I think we all wanna believe this is just some elaborate, sick prank. Unfortunately, this isn't one of those times.

They're still not revealing any more details.......
 
there's something on Wikipedia, nothing more than a line at the bottom of his page, but it says that Chris called into WWE on Sunday saying that he couldn't make it in as his family were spitting up blood. don't know how much of that we should believe, it being Wiki and all, but i thought i should mention it.
 
Wow, they cancelled RAW and are showing a 3 hour tribute to Benoit.

Vince McMahon even came on and stated how his death was simply a "storyline", but Benoit's is real. Thus the tribute to Benoit..........
 
If you go to pwinsider.com they have all kinds of links with info and they will update as much as possible whenever they get new info. It's the best news site for wrestling imo.

I can't believe this. Never in my life would I have ever imagined reading those headlines. Whenever there was a PPV and it looked like it was going to be crappy my husband and I would always say, "at least Benoit is on the card, and you know he'll bring the house down". I don't think he ever had a bad match. To steal Bret Hart's tagline, Chris Benoit truly was the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be.

There is very little conclusive regarding the death of Chris Benoit, wife Nancy and son Daniel.

The three were found dead by the sheriff's department in Peachtree City, GA, at about 2:30 p.m. this afternoon after a WWE official had called because they had been unable to reach Chris after numerous attempts.

Lt. Tommy Pope told the Associated Press that it was being investigated as a homicide pending results of a preliminary autopsy report that will come out tomorrow. No gunshot or stab wounds were found, but they couldn't rule out poisoning, suffocation or strangulation. Pope said he was not confirming any of these potential causes, just not ruling them out.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported it is being investigated as a murder/suicide.



I stopped watching wrestling about 2 years ago but man the death toll is mounting. Curt Henning, Rick Rude, Eddie, Davey Boy, Owen damn there is one hell of a card going on in heaven and with Chris showing up I bet you St. Peter is thinking about turning heel. RIP Wolverine...you and Eddie can now take over the tag division.
 
WWE.com has confirmed it's being investigated as a murder-suicide. I've already read some negative comments about Benoit online and I just don't know what to think. First off, no one knows what actually happened and people are speculating and saying some really harsh things. I don't wanna believe that one of the men I've idolized for the last 11 years is capable of such a heinous tragedy. The bottom line is this, no matter what happened in his personal life, he was one of the best in the squared circle and I will always respect him for his wrestling legacy. I just don't see him tarnishing his legacy with something like this. I really hope they give some answers soon.

WAGA, a FOX-owned and operated television station in Atlanta, reported that investigators believe Benoit killed his wife and 7-year-old son over the weekend, then himself on Monday.

The three bodies have been received by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's crime lab, in Decatur, Ga., where autopsies will be performed Tuesday morning. Toxicology reports will not become available for at least two weeks.

WWE.com has further information relating to both the investigation and the cause of death, but the Fayette County Sheriff's Department has requested that WWE.com not release any additional details at this time.

To be fair to the WWE the news of the murder/suicide came out AFTER the show aired. Also I really think till the full story comes out we should not listen to specualtion/allegations its not right to condem someone without knowingthe full facts.

Whatevers actually happened this is a tragedy and my prayers go out to the remaining members of the Benoit family at this tragic time.
 
my mom and i were talking about this a while ago...Benoit hasn't really been the same since Eddie died, two years ago in November. those two were so close, he just never recovered after losing him.
 
A very close friend of his from Stampede wrestling in Canada also died a few days ago. The two broke into wrestling together. I'm not going to specualte on anything though.

This is really, really tough. I really don't know what to think until I hear what actually happened. So many news outlets are speculating on what really happened, so I'm just gonna wait it out. God, I really don't want to believe a he could do something like this.
