I think Nicole has been okay. I think the chemistry of the panel as a whole is what's failing. Mel B was definitely my favourite guest judge. However she is a judge on X Factor Australia which is on at the same time as the UK version so not sure if she would do both.

I've actually been watching the Australian (between the English, a,Mercian and Australian that's allot of weekly xfactor lol) and I love it, I agree the chemistry on the English panel is off, the Australian one is much much better.

I think the problem is Barlow, he does act like he's head judge but isn't strong enough to lead the show.
Tulsa is nice but she isn't sure who she is, she wants to call it like she is like she did last year with Midha B but she's clearly afraid of the negative public feedback, she clearly wanted to take up the "hot" thing since Cheryl is gone but since her sex tape it seems like she gets super embarrassed when someone talks about her being hot.
Nicole's going to remain okay throughout the season, but that's it between her and Barlow theatre side if the panel is gonna have all the personality sucked out of it.
And Louie is Louie but I think you kinda need him there, although it will be weird to see him actually compete this year since his category isn't a joke!

I think if they brought in Mel B she'd take control of the panel a bit, from interview it seems like her and Tulsa seem to get on, whereas Tulsa and Nicole ( and Kelly) I always thought she seemed a bit intimidated by them - hopefully they'll be better in live shows.
And I think there'd be a bit of actual competition between Mel and Gary.


My Godiva given way to much thought to this show...


Anyone know can they do original songs at the live stages, I'm loving that beer fear anger but doesn't sound like she covers others stuff well?

Have to say, I actually quite like that you are giving the show a lot of thought coz I am exactly the same and all my friends think I'm a bit sad for watching X Factor! I totally agree pretty much about all your points! Gary Barlow is just generally a bit dull anyway. I'm sure he is a good mentor, maybe he would be better suited to The Voice? i definitely think a huge personality like Mel B is badly needed! The perfect panel was Simon, Cheryl, Dannii and louis!

I watched that video and she was way out of line, but I'm sure the producers told her to sing a Pink song. So I understand why she was mad, but it was so over the top and unnecessary to flip out the way she did haha, and her voice was crap.

I totally agree Barlow would be much better on He Voice which seems to be less about entertainment,the xfactor needs personality and to be a bit over th top.
 
I think it's sad that some of my favs have not sung so well at Judges houses although I still love them lots and hope they get a recording contract out of it. I'm nervous that Rylan will go through and some others will not.

Tonight will be very interesting I think...

Can't believe Rylan got through...actually I can, but he's still pants!
Gotta say no one jumps out at me of the final 12. The only ones I can remember when I try and think of them are the boy bands, I really like the girls who sung that bear song but I don't think she can do covers.

It was great having Cheryl back, she's just bloody wonderful!

Being honest she could have said nothing and I'd thought she was brilliant, there's something I really like about her.

I wished she'd cried though, she a beautiful crier, Tulisa doesn't have that ability and Nicole just blends into the wall behind her.

Don't get me wrong, I loved it when Cheryl was a judge before! 🙂 And I have to agree...how does she make tears look so beautiful?
 
What did you guys think of the drama from last week, fix or not?

Persona lily I don't care it was awesome to watch! I did see the producer talking to Louis during the sing off and immediately assumed he would take it to deadlock, but I didn't think it was that surprising Louis always saves the joke acts, but carolynne wasn't gonna win anyway.

I'm enjoying tonight to, there really is allot less joke acts this year!
 
I think it was all real, If I was Gary I would have walked off too. I can't stand Rylan.

Still loving Jahmene, I know he won't win but I still love him.
 
I hate him too, that whole crying and whaling thing when he got through drove me nuts!

I only like he's still in cuz I think Gary's gonna rip him apart tonight.

I think it was real too, people skipped over what Louis was actually saying when he was trying to decide he didn't say one thing them change his mind like everyone was reporting, he pretty clearly said he didn't know what to do, he just mumbled a bit through it so parts were quieter.

Lucy was pretty good, I didn't think she was gonna handle a cover and I'm glad she didn't over sell the sad stuff!
 
Yer Lucy did good tonight. To be able to pull it together like she did was good.

I hope Rylan goes tonight but I have a horrid feeling he won't.
 
Yeah I think we'll be stuck with him for a few weeks they'll keep saving him, like jedward remember how Simon kept voting them out, then it came to a week were his vote would have gotten them out out but he chose to save them, cuz they like to keep the jokes cuz it gets them in the news.

Which is true I've seen that footage of Ryland and Nicole 3 times this'll week on those comedy panel shows!
 
I know it's said ain't it....that they keep someone in just for the publicity. Blatantly not for the talent lol...

I hated Jedward, Wagner and now Rylan 🙁
 
I don't know cuz I do agree with them when they says its not just a singing competition, it is entertainment also, and while I don like he acts I like the storming off stage stuff which wouldn't happen without them!
 
But if it was just entertainment they would be on Britain's Got Talent rather than the X Factor in my eyes....XFactor is more about the voice than the ability to entertain by looking like a plonker lol imo.
