Soooooo, yes it's me again going on about the XFactor UK!!

Who has been your fav so far? And what do you think about this years judges? DO you like the new format so far? Are you even watching it?

I like the judges so far. And I like the new format although less back story and more singers would be nice.
 
I am put off with all the backstory stuff, I just want to see the people sing and hear the judges comments. Was amused by the lady whose mother? brought all the food in though!
 
I love when Cheryl cries.

Such a beautiful cry. Cheryl crying is reason enough for the show to exist.

I'm loving the panel, I never really care about the talent. It's all about the judges and I think the line up is brilliant. I can't wait to get to live shows, even stadium auditions will be better than auditions, I hope they bring back the chairs on stage thing at bootcamp, that was ruthless and such good tv.

I wish Mel B was meaner though, she was brilliant when she guest judged and she was fantastic on the Oz version, this nicer Mel B isn't as cool - but sill so much better than the last few versions of the panel.
 
I love the chairs, it was a hilight of last season.
It was so brutal and it was an excellent addition.

I actually prefer XFactor on a friday, but 3 days is a lot of xfactor...
I kinda wish it was just Friday and Saturday, or Friday and Sunday.

So I've been away for 2 weekends, what have I missed? Fridays???
 
Yep last weekend and this weekend is 3 nights of xfactor! (Apparently an experiment, but dont imagine it will last any longer, since it bombed on the Friday in the ratings, lowest ratings since the first seasons!)
It was maybe a bit much with 3 days, but it was also the best xfactor has been in YEARS.
This was the first weekend I didn't also watch xtra factor cuz that was just taking up a lot of time (6+ hours of xfactor in one week is a lot, lol)

This was actually a very enjoyable arc, there was genuine suspense and shock, I jaw dropped quite a bit.

Mel B finally lived up to the judge we thought she was going to be, and I'm sure it was played up and set up but Cheryl changing her mind on that first night was really entertaining TV.

I can't believe Raign is gone, I wasn't a fan, but I was also loving Cheryls blind hatred of her and I would have loved to see her get to lives and continue that, lol
 
I'm really glad Jake is gone. He was awful, and he had no real interest he doesn't want to be a signer. Seconds after being out, he's saying he's gonna "find something else to do" and talking about going to do stuff in the US?
 
I kida wish they'd hold off on the doubles for a bit, like it feels like we're hemorrhaging contestants!

Though it does add a bit more to it I guess.
 
WARNING: Just like Cordelia, I don't do tact, I tell you exactly how I feel so there will be bashing ahead. Yeah I'm going to sound like a B**** but to me it's just honesty.

I'll agree that the backstories seem like kind of a rig since they serve no other purpose and there may be a bit of biased behavior going on by Judges Mel and Cheryl.
Mel hardly gives enthusiastic feedback to anyone outside her own category, what she said about Ben's first live performance was really ****ed up and then to turn around and say her boy was 100% better!? Then in the last round she pissed me off again shouting "Vote for my boys!" during Lola's feedback session (or perhaps it was Lauren's but it was one of the two of them)! Granted they want someone they mentored to win for the recognition but I think the level she's taken it to is unnecessary and a bit disrespectful.

Then there is Stevi. He's the reason I think there's a rig in there somewhere. At first I suspected Cheryl of bringing him back because he was the least threatening Over to the other categories by far but after the praise she's been giving him I'm beginning to wonder if she's actually delusional and believes he's actually good. It's obvious and the other judges see it too, even his own mentor, Simon, that he's liked for his idiotic dancing and show girls not because he can sing. They all know he can't! He's a joke, I can't believe he's lasted this long. Alright so he's a caring father, but this isn't a father of the year competition.
I also find him kind of arrogant to:
1.) Have done that strip stunt in his 'Living La Vida Loca' performance WITHOUT abs!
2.) To have earlier said that he wanted his daughter to be able to tell her friends that she has a famous father. That's not what matters to a child.
He's basically being kept around because he's amusing to watch...for a lot of folks anyway, which is a rig! He makes me wish I could vote but I'm in America. The voting opens, closes and the elimination is announced all before the performances even air here.

Alright on to positive comments. Lola was absolutely the right choice for the wild card. What was Cheryl thinking taking Stephanie over her? Lola is amazing and so is Lauren. They are two of my favorites. Ben and Andrea are probably my favorite males. Both had me from their auditions. Andrea;s 'Man in the Mirror', damn! I also appreciate Stereo Kicks, I don't get that name, not too fond of it and there being too many of them in my opinion but in spite of that they actually sound very good. Much better than Only the Young who only have four people.

I look forward to the fright night round!

I agree on most of that @SoulOfAngelus ... Stevie is like Rylan ... entertainment just about.
My favs so far are Ben, Andrea, Jay and Paul. I like the rocky edge to most of those and yer Andrea's Man in the Mirror blew me away, it was amazing.

Glad Jack has gone. Wondering who will go tonight, possibly Only The Young?
 
@Nix Jack had me for a bit, he started out real well but for the past few rounds he has failed to impress me.
Only the Young never really impressed me, so I'd support their going home.
 
I like that Mel is yelling to vote for her acts during someone else's round, the judges are supposed to be bitchy and competitive. The show has been missing that competitive edge, the only judge who had that in the last few years was Tulisa.

I think Cheryl brought Stevi back cuz he was a joke act and wanted to give him to Simon, I dont think she thought he was good, but I think she's been surprised about how nice and enthusiastic he is. I dont mind Stevi staying it, it's the same every year with the joke acts.

No one that's going to win goes home before a joke act, so I have no probably seeing a joke acts crazy performance over someone like Jack or Lola who are fine, but were never going to win.

BUT having said that, I think it's reached that point now where it's time to end. I think if he'd done his normal act last night he could have been out today, but his performance last nice was kinda sweet. Without that I think he'd be gone cuz there is a bit of arrogance starting to come through now, which is always the downfall of the joke acts, they often get the most press and stuff and they know the joke acts to do and you can see when that goes to their head.

I also think Lola proved exactly why Cheryl didn't take her through to lives as a main choice, her confidence wasn't in the right place for the competition, I do agree Stephanie was awful and Lola was better, but I can see the logic behind not taking Lola.
