This thread will be for people to post any news they have on X-Men 3. I'll post what I know.

X-Men 3 is 100% gonna happen.

The Beast and Angel may be in the 3rd film. Beast was considerd for the first film but didn't make it. Bryan Singer (Director of X2) has said that he wants Beast to be CG (computer generated) in the third. Angel was set to be in the second film and had his own part in the script but he was taken out at the last minute because Bryan Singer (director) thought that their was not enough room for him in X2.

Rebecca Romijn-Stamos (Mystique), Daniel Cudmore (Colossus), Alan Cumming (Nightcrawler) and Kelly Hu (Lady Deathstrike) are the first to be signed up for the third film.

Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen and Anna Paquin have all shown intrest in returning for X-Men 3.

Bryan Singer has said that he is not sure if he will be director for X-Men 3. Singer was the director of the first two X-Men films but is not sure if he is going to return. But has hinted he wouldn't mind being the Producer.

Not all the main characters from the first two X-Men films will return for the third. They are currently deciding who they will get rid of. Mystique, Colossus, Nightcrawler and Lady Deathstrike are the only confirmed characters returning.

Sentinels will be in the third film. Production Designer Guy Dyas said that work has already started on the robots.

Although even the director and the actor don't know anything about the project, producers of the X2 movie foresee a film spin-off for their most popular character, Wolverine.

X-Men 3's rumoured release date is Summer 2005.

From what I've read in EW, Jackman is under contract for a third, wether he wants to do it or not (he has suggest that X3 will most likely be the last X-Men film he appears in). I believe I read somewhere that the entire cast of the first film were under contract for at least three, so they should be able to have back pretty much anyone they want.

where's logan...x2 wouldn't be half as good if logan weren't in it...imagine if he isn't in the third installment...
 
I hope phonix and angel are in it, and i hope beast is in it again.

I think they may put Xaviers brother in it and for people who don't know who he is he is Jeggnaught!!!!!
 
I think the reason they are not going to bring back all the characters it because it is hard to get a time when they are all free to do a movie. Also the cast where only signed to make 2 movies and not 3.
 
I hope they make more, but I say 3 is a good number to stop on!!!
 
In 3. Dont wanna spoil it for anyone who hasnt seen X-2.
Jean will be Phoenix in X3, as she reads the thing about mutation, you can see a bird in the water, her alter ego, Phoenix!
 
Maybe not...Phoenix wasn't always bad...they may bring her in as the Dark Phoenix-then she'd be the main baddie for the film. But if she's just regular good Phoenix, she could be the most powerful good guy they've got! I'm so happy! Phoenix was always my fave charachter!
 
YIPPEE for Famke Jansen (the only internationally famous Dutch actress I know!) ... at the end of X2, I was allready thinking of it (Phoenix), with the water thing, my friend though it was a butterfly :S

I hope the next one has Jubilee (sp?), Gambit and Beast in it, they were the best, I hope it won't have cyclops, what's up with him, he was cool in the series, but a pain in the ass here!

Oh and who's Angel?

BTW: Can you remember this one baddie, who was like mayor, stronger then X and Magneto together, he looked like some alien thing, what was his name, can't seem to remember!

From what i can remember Angel is a mutain and his powers are that he has wings and i don't know the rest (that maybe wrong).

And i don't know who that is.


I hope that the next baddie is xaviers Brother that would be cool!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
No, the Juggernaut was lame, he was dumb and just plain strong, no concept for a baddie to revolve a movie around!
 
Kitty Pryde all the way. I want to see her more mature. I want to see her able to dance on air. I want to see her with a Katana. 🙂

Hmm. I wouldn't really mind if they dropped Storm. I was never fond of Halle Berry's acting. I can't fathom how she got an oscar for the a role I thought the most unrealistic and ham-acted of her career.

Magneto and Proffesor X. Wether or not they fit the plot is irrelevant. If you have an opportunity to have Sir Ian Mckellan or Patrick Stewart in your cast, take it!

Spider-Man. Hey, I can dream can't I? Wolverine/Spider-man cross-overs were always top-notch in the comics, although I'd settle for the Grey Hulk too 😉

I guess Cyclops has to be back, or we miss out on the whole Jean grey angle. I like his character anyway, and the dramatic tension between him and wolvie is tangible.

Nightcrawler was too cool. I'd love to see him back, if only for a bit-part 😉

not for a main baddie but in it because in the cartoon when jeggnauht was in it, it was cool, and it is proffeser X Brother which jeggnaught hates so that would be cool as well!!!!!!!!
