Up till this movie I had thought Origins wasn't part of the movie canon. I could have sworn they said that before, that it was just a standalone film rather than a prequel.
In origins Emma is younger than the Emma we see in FC.

Maybe I'm wrong about her being dead (I hope so!) but I thought when Magneto was listing the dead mutants he mentioned Emma, then Banshee then someone else then Angel?

But I'm fine with that, the actress in FC was not good, she was very wooden.

I know a lot of people didn't like January in that role, but I thought it worked for the early version of that character, that wooden thing gave a good air of "I'm above you all" which Emma is supposed to have.
I would have been happy to see her back, but I think I'm in the minority.

With all the continuity errors and mishandling of some character, I'm totally ok with forgetting Origins. So much was in this movie I'd have to see it again to pick up everything that is said, so maybe she did die. I do like her powers, but o well.
