How do you feel about this unlikely pairing? Do Xander and Amy could have been good for each other?
 
I think in the early seasons, Amy would have made a really good love interest for Xander. I actually was pretty certain she was going to be, after I saw BBB, and was shocked when it never happened.

Agreed. I don't really see what would make them an interesting couple. They're both a little ordinary and boring. I liked Xander with Anya and Cordelia because they both gave Xander someone to banter with. Girls with attitude ftw.

Amy and Willow having a fling when Willow was getting all drug-analogy-magicky however? Yeah I wouldn't say no to that.

If we are talking about Amy in her pre-rat days, then yes, it could have worked. If it's about S6-8 Amy - no way. But Amy is more of a glorified plot device rather than a character, so it's hard to say.

Very, very true... Pre-rat Amy wasn't that bad, but after Season 6 she was a crazy bitch, so no.
 
Maybe. Yeah, Xander and Amy could have worked in Amy's pre-rat days, but in S6 and S8...no, especially since in S6 Xander was engaged to Anya.

Though I'd rather have Tara/Xander instead of Amy/Xander 😛

Tara/Xander would have been adorable. I personally regret that they haven't had more screen time together, especially since Amber and Nick were close friends. Xander and Tara have their abusive home life in common, it would have been nice if Xander talked to Tara after Family, about understanding what she went through.
 
I can see Xander and Amy being a good couple pre-rat days. But overall, I think they would have been a bit boring. 🙂

Oh, I would. Then Tara and Willow never would have gotten back together, or Willow would have ended up dead. I'm not a fan of either of those options...

Xander and Amy would have been boring. Like Buffy and Scott Hope.
 
I could kinda see it happening in the pre-rat, before Cordelia years. They could gone on a couple of dates after The Witch, but not as a long term relationship.

I know it would have been a bad thing, but I think it would have been incredibly interesting to watch unfold, with all the negativity in Season 6 it would have matched the mood and mirrored the Spike/Buffy story so well, and you never know - Tara might have never died....
