Xander+Dracula=Lovers?

I know it may sound a little crazy and out of order, but after reading Wolves at the Gate 4, and the way Xander and Dracula treat each other, does anyone else think at all that when Xander went away to live with him, that they started a little romance or at least engaged in some same-sex action?! I personally would LOVE if that happened, i think it would be quite a different backstory for the character Xander to mention in an ARC. What do you all think?

I'm sure that during the year that Xander spent as Dracula's manservant, a distinct bond was formed, probably beginning with their mutual sorrow over the death of Anya, but developing beyond that (The image of Xander and Drac tooling around the back roads surrounding the castle is just great) It wouldn't stretch my imagination very far to envision a friendship forming there, but lovers? I don't think so.

I think there's a chance I may even like Xander if he had a same sex relationship. I do like my slashy Xander after all.
 
Hmmm....I don't see why Dracula wouldn't experiment...And Xander..:Even if he didn't want to, he had no choice 😉

I've always seen it as one sided love; from Dracula's side.

Here's what I think: Dracula had kidnapped Xander and put him under his thrall (Like Buffy vs. Dracula) Xander stayed with Dracula for months (because he was under Dracula's thrall), in which Dracula grew attached to him, until Buffy saved Xander. When Dracula was needed, notice how Xander looked annoyed and upset, he didn't want to interact with Dracula again. He brought Renee with him to keep him on his feet, sadly he slips one time after another at the presence of Dracula until Renee snaps him out of it. From the looks of it, Xander doesn't seem to care much about Dracula while Dracula is obviously very attached to Xander. Even the last scene between them shows how much Xander resents Dracula's way of treating him, like a slave/manservant. In fact, the last scene is the best resolution to Xander's speech in Buffy vs Dracula where Xander got to stand up to Dracula, a great ending to his Butt-Monkey arc with Dracula.

The "gay love" here is obviously one sided: from Dracula's side. Xander, as it shown in Wolves at the Gate, isn't that interested in Dracula at all. Only went to him when the mission needed him. That's how I've been seeing this arc. And it sounds pretty much so canon to me and not that hard to picture.

Well you know how much I dislike Xander, but I still love Xander/Spike. so *drools* at your banner!
i havnt read season 8 but i would love to see that happen!
Xander and Dru had a little thing in Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered, but that was because of the spell and i liked the look of them together 🙂
and Xander is ace was a vampire, so i guess i can take Xander being a vampire 🙂
 
If they were lovers (and I highly doubt it ) I would call Xander a complete hypocrite. He never loved the idea of Buffy and Angel and he loathed the idea of Buffy and Spike. So yeah. he'd be a hypocrite.

From what we've seen in S8, if there had been any sex, Xander hadn't really been Xander, but a guy under a thrall. So, he wasn't being a hypocrite. 🙂

And if he'd one day fall in love with a vampire -hopefully Spike- it'll just mean, he developed, changed, grew up. It doesn't have to mean he's a hypocrite.

Changing your mind doesn't mean you're a hypocrite.
 
To Dracula, Xander was always the "manservant," but never the "boy toy." There would only be two real reasons for him to have any kind of sexual relations with Xander: romance, and Dracula has always been depicted as the most adamant of heterosexuals, so that excuse is pretty much out, or to establish and reinforce a role of dominance over Xander, and since Xander was already totally under his thrall, that would have been totally unnecessary.

Now, if the question were whether Dracula had ever FED off of Xander, then I would have to say that he most likely did, especially at first. He would have seen that as merely one of the functions of a manservant: to be his eyes and ears during the day, to keep his cape clean and pressed, to rid the castle of spiders and all crawling insects, and to provide a quick snack between village people and young girls on vacation.

Of course, Xander and the BRIDES of Dracula would have been a totally different story...
 
hey...im new...but not really. been a huge fan of anything Joss for years...anywho. I think Xander just needed a man friend. I mean, the poor guy is around chicks all the time...and who's more a man then dracula. I think they just had an understanding of one another.....a deep, kind of sexual understanding hahaha. Plus, i totally agree with who ever said it.... 1 lesbien and one experimental slayer is enough for one story. and if any guy on Buffy where to be gay, it would definintly be Andrew.
 
I could see where you would get that assumption. But when Xander actually goes to get dracula with Renee. He let her know that Dracula may say or do somethings and not to wig out. Then when they finally all meet you could tell by the way Drac was talking to Renee he is just out of the loop totally out there. Especially with the comments he made to Renee, they weren't catty or jealous they where just out there using Shakespearean would it be called slang?.

What I mean to say is when we saw Drac in Season 8 he has an even bigger superiority complex. I just think thats the way Dracula is with people. I mean he is Dracula why wouldn't he be his own biggest fan. I think it boils down to Dracula finally finding someone he can call an ally or even a friend, and that person being a simple mortal who is best friends with the Slayer and an Uber Witch.
 
If it's revealed that Xander had a sexual relationship with Dracula, I'm done with the comics. There's only so much I can believe when it comes to season 8.
 
It would be great if they were since apparently Joss doesn't seem to include male on male homosexuality since I guess that's less "hot" and doesn't seem to sell comics
 
Do you think that's why Dracula was all depressed? Because Xander escaped his thrawl and "broke up with him"? That's kinda sad. And really sad that it took Buffy a year to notice he was kind of a hostage. I think that if there was anything between them it was all on Dracula's side and poor Xander didn't get a choice...unless he was just looking for some kind of comfort after Anya's death. But I never thought of Xander as a homosexual.

You're right. It's obviously from Dracula's side only. Xander doesn't seem that thrilled to visit him in WATG, and he wasn't Xander during the time with Dracula, he was under his thrall.
 
I think allll of this would make an excellent and very interesting fanfic :]

i may have to start writing soon.
