Did anybody else not like Xander in "Inca Mummy Girl"? He was so freaking obnoxious, jealous, and hypocrticial.

He was jealous when he found out that Buffy's exchange student was a male then when the Inca Mummy Girl appeared he went all horny and obnoxious I puked in my mouth a little at his behavior in that episode.

I love your questions...there should be some type of award for...people who ask interesting or "fun to answer" questions haha
What is so obnoxious about it? He obviously liked Buffy, so got a little jealous and defensive when he thought she was going to be living with a guy. Seems pretty normal to me.
Then he sees that it's a girl. Not only a girl, but an amazingly beautiful princess. If you hadn't noticed, she had pretty strong powers of seduction. She drew in men and kissed them in order to suck their life out and keep on living.

I think you just have a hatred for Xander and therefore are annoyed with everything he does.

I don't think Ampata intended to kill Xander. I honestly think that she liked him a lot.

Well, what annoyed me was the fact that he was all acting like Buffy was his property even thought they weren't together. "He better keep his parts to himself." Like that's any of his business? Then all of a sudden he forgets about Buffy and gets with Ampata. He does that a lot. He seems to get jealous of any guy Buffy shows interest or is in her life, and he gets all stalker jealous about it. But as soon as someone walks into his life, he completely forgets about Buffy. Sounds kind of douchy to me. It also doesn't sound like he really was in love with her. I think he just had the hots for her.

Yea Ampata genuinely did like Xander because she tried not to kill him. I see your point at why Xanders behavior would annoy you here. But again he's a highschool boy so obviously most people aren't in "love" at that age and just have the hots
I found it kind of believable (for him anyway)...and I didn't take his jealously too seriously, he was mostly kidding around. Mostly. I actually really love him in that episode haha the twinkie scene is adorable. It's too bad his potential girlfriend was old, crusty, dead, and homicidal (although that does seem to be his type...only kidding, I love Anya 😉) poor Xander .

No serious. I like Xander because he is how he is. A stupid, laughy, happy and jealousy boy. What's the matter? As long as he doesn't hurt anybody... I like his mood. Sometimes it's a little bit stange but all in all I see myself reflected in his character... 😀

Yeah I agree 100%. A lot of people seem to have strange standards for Xander and they just don't understand who he is.
I can understand being annoyed by it. Especially being displeased with male Ampata. Thankfully, he'll mature out of it in the future.

I don't think Ampata intended to kill Xander. I honestly think that she liked him a lot.

She did like him, but it didn't stop her from trying to kill him when he stepped between her and Willow. Her life meant more than her feelings for him, which is obviously understandable.

It's supposed to show how much Xander thinks about sexual... things. Xander accepted Anya as a demon before they were dating, only because she showed intrest in him, and he thought he may have a shot. Let's face it, Xander didn't dislike Angel because he was a vampire, but because he was a sexual threat. It's the main point of Xander's mind, and the writers were being consistent, and I thogut it was funny.

Xander was shown to be the stereotypical seventeen year old guy. Case of point in Earshot where Buffy hears his thoughts - "I think about sex all the time." Xander is far from my favourite character and the way he behaves is extremely obnoxious in my opinion, but it's what makes him. And he does have some redeeming qualities we get to see as the show develops.
