Xander likes Dawn?

OK... I'm not a Dawn-Xander fan...not much...K it's a lie.

I like them together 😀

Anyway in the episode Crush when Buffy tells Xander that she thinks Dawn likes Spike, Xander reacts kinda strangely. Like "Why the hell would she like a dead guy over sweet funny adorable me???"

I know some will definately say that Xander doesn't have a crush on Dawn, and that he just was thrown by the fact that Dawn doesn't have a crush on him anymore. He liked that, cos he never was crushed on in school...Except for Willow, but she doesn't really count since she always liked him.

But I really think there might be something there... Xander might have a crush on Dawn, but kinda have to keep quiet. Buffy's sister, and younger than him(currently also bigger than him.)

I have this wacked theory, that Xander also began to have cold feet with Anya, because he realized his love for the Dawnster...I dunno, just my crazy thoughts...

What do you think?

Feel free to give lots of examples... Both on the positive "OH HE LOVES HER" side, and on the "..yeah like a sister" side.

Yeah when it comes to dawn and xander i think it is a case of xander just enjoys the fact that someone has a crush on him, but more than anything i think that xander looks at her as a sister, i dont think there ever really was anything more than brotherly/sisterly love between them, i mean yeah dawn had a huge crush on xander but teenage girls always have crushes on older men its just part of them growing up. LoL.

I think it could happend in season 8 and i dont want it to, it'd be too weird, maybe kinda sweet but weird. He liked Buffy for so long and stodd by her, then obvs had a crush on Joyce so it's just weird.

Well if you see my banner you probably realise I am a MAJOR Dander shipper! But I have to admit while I believe there is something between them I think it was only one sided from Dawn's part in Season 5. I do however believe that in season 7 that something was definitely developing!

I don't really see anything wrong with a Dander ship to be perfectly honest.

They're not related even though they are clearly as close as a brother and sister. By the time S7 comes around Dawn has grown as a person and even though she's several years younger than Xander that shouldn't matter as it's well known that men go for women younger than themselves, and I can see them being perfectly happy with each other as they're already very familiar with each other's lifestyles, their respective family and friends, they know what type of movies each likes, food, dress sense etc etc...

On the whole I think they'd make a very good couple. The only probably draw-back would be Buffy's reaction to the relationship - she'd either give her blessing or murder them both.

Now before all of you go "Yuck!" it's true. There has been a scientific study on relationships from a male point of view in regard to the age of his 'perfect partner' and as a man of 40+ I myself (according to the study) am most likely to go for a woman who is in her late 20's -- that's 27 to 33 ish. It's to do with the male brain thinking along the lines of 'she's young, she's strong, she's at that sort of age where she's (normally) got a career but is now at child bearing / wanting age'.

So I think I just threw up a little in my mouth. This really all just stems from the fact that I abhor Dawn with every fiber of my being but I have to say that there is NO WAY Xander would ever get with Dawn. Ugh Ugh Ugh. Besides, I know in the comics there are all these bizarre things happening to Dawn but prior to aside from being the "Key" there was nothing demony about her. We all know Xander likes his girls nice and demony!
