If there's one thing Buffy/Angel and Buffy/Spike supporters agree about is their dislike towards Buffy/Xander, meanwhile the endgame of their favorite vampire is basically becoming Xander. How come? What's the difference between Xander and Shanshued vampire?

Different personalities? Xander, Spike and Angel are not the same guy. Unless you mean strength wise. Angel and Spike will lose their powers, but I don't think Buffy would magically lose interest once they become human.

Which doesn't mean that they wouldn't face new/other problems within the relationship (with Angel or Spike). The girl just needs a little monster in her...

Yeah agree, their personalities wouldn't (necessarily) change. It's not that Xander's a human that some people find distasteful in the Buffy-Xander relationship, it's his personality and her's. JMHO

A hundred plus years of (un)life experience would definitely make Angel and Spike as different from Xander as they are and would be from each other. Beyond that, other than becoming human, it's never actually been established exactly what the Shanshu actually is. If it's to become human once more, with the chance of starting a totally new life, who's to say but what all memories of their undead existence might be totally wiped from their memories, along with the associated feelings of guilt, shame, and regret for what the monsters did? Receiving the Shanshu could mean that the lucky vampire starts a new life with a totally blank slate, or with only the memory of their pre-vampire lives.

Of course, that's an extremely drastic scenario, but if there is one thing that remains absolutely consistent in the Buffyverse, it's that, just when you think that you have everything figured out, an evil little troll named Joss will slip a kink in the plow line somewhere, turning a potentially happy ending into just the prelude to the next apocalypse.

It all boils down to forehead/cheekbones. Dependant on your preference.

I mean be honest, human Xander is much more interesting love interest than human Angel or Spike could ever be, because once that happens to them their story is done- definitivly.

Aren't you ignoring personality differences etc.? Angel as a human is infinitely more attractive than the boy who never quite grew up Xander. If I were Buffy both human Angel and Spike would be more appealing. They are respectable men, alpha men actually; sure, they have their flaws too, but what is Xander compared to all that? There are HUGE differences between Xander and either Shanshued vampire.

I don't consider Spike alpha - at least not when paired with Buffy. Besides, being alpha and physically strong isn't what makes a man. I'd say by S7 Xander was absolutely more mature than Angel (compare Xander's objective support of Buffy's decisions regarding Spike with Angel's childish behavior around Spike. Xander moving on from Buffy also shows more maturity than Angel who is still hung up on her after all these years.)

Xander - a man who accepts his limits and doesn't mind supporting his strong female friends instead of forcing his leadership on them because he's male is the kind of man I admire and would love to get together with.
