Xander vs Spike

Does anyone find it interesting that as much as Xander and Spike can't stand each other they actually have quite a bit in common?

Their faith in Buffy
Their jealousy of Angel
Their awkwardness with women
The fact that they would do anything to protect Buffy

I always really liked the dynamic these two had
 
Xander and Spike were a really funny pair to watch. Their interactions were always so interesting and well played. I think Nick and James were both awesome actors, to be able to play off one another the way they did.
 
My favorite Xander/Spike scene will always be the scene nearing the end of s5 where they are hiding from the knights and Xander lights up Spike's cigarette. They played really well together. Agreed that they had great dynamic!

To me they don't have that much in common though, simply because all they actually do have in common can be brought to one common denominator which is Buffy. Their love for Buffy, although different, made them a bit alike.
