Xander's "funny syphilis" a possible gift from Faith?

We were told it probably came from the Chumash curse. However, it could've come from Faith just as well. Oh yes. Totally.

Pretty sure they didn't use protection during their little tryst.

Obviously not seeing as Xander's syphilis came with the curse and went with the curse.
I don't think it's nice to accuse Faith of having stds as there's no evidence for that at all.

Don't be too sure of that. A lot of young men go constantly prepared, just in case they should happen to "get lucky," and I'm pretty sure that Faith, the "hungry and horney" Slayer, only takes chances when she's slaying. She doesn't strike me as the type who would risk an unwanted pregnancy or STD.

I didn't see a Trojan package anywhere, so....I'm pretty sure they didn't care at the time. 😛

How many times did you see one whenever Willow and Oz, or Buffy and Riley were going at it? Only once, but it's a fair bet that they used always them. Xander could have had one in his wallet (that's where we always had one for "emergencies") or Faith could have had one in her pocket. Just because they chose not to show one doesn't mean that it wasn't there.

Well...unless it was one of those magic condoms that appear out of thin air, I'm convinced that no protection was used...Faith practically jumped on Xander, and BOOM! Sexy time commenced. Things happened way too fast for them to even think of anything else.
 
@Anyanka Bunny Killer Surely though if Faith did have syphilis and it was untreated enough to pass on, she would also be suffering effects from it? Now, she could've given Xander chlamydia as that doesn't necessarily present symptoms, but syphilis would, so unless you're suggesting that Faith knowingly passed on Syphilis to Xander , I don't think Xander's syphilis did come from Faith. Anyway it was stated that Xander's "penis got diseases from a chumarsh tribe" when it was sang by Anya in "Once more with Feeling". Considering Joss Whedon wrote all the songs, I'd say it counts as "word of God" .

Doesn't syphilis lead to insanity? It would sort of explain why Faith went evil. They could have saved themselves a lot of trouble going that route too because instead of the big redemption arc, she could have just taken penicillin.

Eventually it does yes. But syphilis isn't cured by jail, so I doubt Xander got anything from Faith.
Hell, even Anya sings that 'his penis got diseases from a Chumash tribe!' and I'm sure that she'd know.

Or you could just ask Wood and be 100% certain.

Just think if that true . Angel never gets shot by the arrow & Faith is able to fight with Buffy against the Mayor . Plus Buffy doesn't have to be bit by Angel & she can stay with Faith 😱
 
So unless you sad/depressed you won't get sick if you a Slayer ?
