Ok, I've just figured out who Xander's true love is. Ok, I've know for a long time, but I just wanted to see if people agree or disagree with what I think.

It's Willow. I think that since their little thing in s3, he's been in love with her. Maybe even before that. During their thing, he was very much of the time the one who started it. Like the tickling with the feather or what it was, and Willow's ear and all that. Willow was the one holding back. And maybe that's the reason he didn't try harder to get Cordy back. He stopped very quickly in my opinion. If you can say calling her alot in the beginning is trying...
And it could explain why he didn't marry Anya...He talked to Willow shortly before the wedding started if I remember correct. I'm not saying he didn't love Anya, or Cordy, but that he loved Willow more, and that's why he screwed up.
That's my theory anyway...Anyone else have an opinion about it?

I both agree and disagree...him and Willow have such an amazing friendship which at first I wanted them to be together but I so much adore Xander and Anya, in my opinion they are soulmates!!

I was watching Triangle the other day and it shows Xander has such a great relationship with Willow and such a loving fun and upbeat relationship with Anya that he can't decided between them and he refused to choose between one to be killed. But no, Anya and Xander forever! <3

I think that no matter what happens Willow and Xander will grow old together, either as friend or lovers, that doesn't matter, but the bond between them is so strong it can't be broken.

My thoughts 100%, as I'm rewatching the earlier seasons

Completley agree...Willow and Xander couldn't imagine life without eachother now.

Hard to say..I can definitely see them getting old together....But I really think Xander did love Anya

Xander and Willow's relationship is so deep and meanful and (lets forget the fact Willow is gay now) them getting togther might ruin that now!

I don't think Willow is as gay as much as I think she is bi-sexual. The Xander thing, might happen for them down the road as I don't see Kennedy as being "long-term" material. But that all depends on whether they survive the apocalypse from NFA.

I agree that Xander loves Willow, but as a friend or a sister. I have many female friends, but it doesn't mean that I love them more than my fiancee, just in a different way. I love my friends, but I am in love with my fiancee.

As a matter of fact I have, once or twice... lol. We always stopped because we were too good of friends. As Willow and Xander did when they realized what they were doing. They didn't stop because of how it made Cordy and Oz feel, they stopped because they realized that it wasn't what they wanted.

Okay, I had a long speech typed out and I just deleted it all. Mostly because I came to realize that I am not 100% sure WHAT my opinion is on the matter. I do believe Willow and Xander love each other very much. I'm just not sure of the classification of it. Theres such a fine line between platonic love and romantic love.... :idunno:

All this talk of soulmates and true love reminded me of the Dawson's Creek finale (The only episode I ever watched, actually) in which Dawson and Joey are discussing their relationship:
Dawson: ...in some unearthly way it's always gonna be you and me.
Joey: Soul mates.
Dawson: What we have goes beyond friendship, beyond lovers. It's forever.
I think that Xander and Willow have a similar relationship, in that they have so much love for each other and understand each other so well that its impossible to limit it to any particular relationship. I think they are indeed soulmates, but in a way that could never really be purely romantic.

In "The Pack", Xander (possessed by hyenas and locked in the cage) asks Willow why she asked Buffy to leave her alone with him, and she replied that it was because she knew him better. Willow and Xander know each other better than anyone else ever did or ever could--that was why it had to be Xander to save Willow on the bluff in "Grave".

What they have is beyond lovers, byond friendship. What they have is forever.

I think Willow and Xander's friendship is their true relationship, never lovers. I have a friend who okay, we havn't known each other for that long, but we're just as close and I could never see us doing anything because I love the friendship more then I could love a relatioship. Willow and Xander are kinda like Will and Grace, but less hysterical and mad.

I think Cordy and Xander might be good together now (apart from that whole pesky death thing) because they have both grown up. Not saying shes his true love but they might be able to work if she comes back from the dead.

Can't disagree with that...Their eachothers true love. Even if they stay friends, or become lovers somewhere on the way. Wish I had a friend like that!

Can you see them at 90? Both in a home sitting in the corner, still arguing over who kissed who in the factory. Willow floating Jello in the cafeteria, and Buffy down the hall beating a nurse with her walker for getting rid of Mr. Gordo. Xander occasionally still stripping on the lunch tables for some extra jello and a Vicodin! :: jack ::

I can't say I ever thought that much about it. You have a strange little mind, NSlayMode (but in a good way)
