I don't think it was ever about sex per se, so I seriously doubt Angel could weasel out of losing his soul by doing a Bill Clinton. 😉

In theory, yes he could do it himself, but I don't think he could have a perfect happiness out of it. Unless he's the one that makes him the happiest.

Well, I don't think it's relative to how good the crème brà»lée is as much as who's making it. That's why Angel didn't get the moment of true happiness when Nina made crème brà»lée for him, and I can safely assume that he wouldn't get his soul taken if he made it for himself.
As far as...umm, let's see here...making crème brà»lée for Buffy goes, it's not really as passionate as Buffy making crème brà»lée for him, so I don't think it would give him his moment of perfect happiness.

And does this whole curse have specifically to do with sex anyway? Couldn't he (or anyone else) receive perfect happiness from some other thing?
And well, this also brings back a theory of mine, Now that he has already lost his soul to sex once, it won't happen again, no matter who with (okay, maybe Cordy 😀). Why? Because whenever he is having sex again, he always has the memory of what happened that time with Buffy and with that on his mind it might be that he can't be truly happy, orgasms and whatnot aside.

I think it is pretty much established fact that it wasn't playing checkers that caused Angel to lose his soul (as his former playing partners Nina and Darla can atest to). Like Wesley said, what Angel found with Buffy is unbelievably rare. He lost his soul to her because of who she was, how she made him feel, what she meant to him and because she felt the same way about him. He had spent a century believing he was the scum of the earth and the Slayer of all people loved him as much as he loved her! One of the Buffy novels summed up the best way for me..."For the first time is his life, Angel had hope of heaven".
I don't think Angel can indulge himself with hopes like that anymore, he was naive with Buffy. He had seen more than she could have imagined at the time but the worst was still to come.
Personally, I'm not sure if Angel is capable of perfect happiness anymore. Partly because he is aware of the curse now but also because of everything that happened in his life after Buffy. She (nor anyone else for that matter) can take away the hurts of Connor, Cordy, Wes, Gunn and Fred no more than Angel can make the pain of her mother, heaven, Willow, Tara and Giles go away.

If that gave Angel one moment of true happyness, I dont know wheather to be extremly grossed out or just laugh my butt off like I am doing now.
I mean we already know that Angel was doing it (remember Angelus talking about it in S4 of Angel?) and he kept his soul. And I bet Buffy or Cordelia doing it would get him heated but not enough to lose his soul.
