... you empty out the paddling pool in the rain 'just in case it makes the path wet and slippery' all in an attempt to avoid writing....

Just popping in to say hi folks! I am an utterly useless member (no double entendre intended!) as I haven't been here for ages. Honestly I don't know how people with small children manage their time! Well, obviously a lot better than me 🙂

So.... finish the sentence. I want to know what other people do when they are procrastinating in case I run out of excuses:bite-cha:

Spending time on bb is the easiest way. 😀 It´s not called an addiction for nothing. 😉 Not that I finished the sentence. *runs to get the addictive link*

Another old member returning? Abslutely great!

edit: You know you're addicted to Buffy Boards when...

Hey... less of the old (can you see the grey hair in Sweden, for gods sake!)

Glad to be home... 🙂

Old member isn´t the same as being old. Em (Banglexx) is an older member than me but I´m old enough to be her father. ;)
Then what have I been doing for the last year and a bit?!?!? oh... I know, small baby, larger boy. If only you could call childcare procrastinating 😀

You also know you are procrastinating when.... you manage to find on web archives a thread from the much missed BuffyUK bulletin board in 2001!!!

I know im procanating when I enter a poker table with 2,000 chips and leave with 150k and realise its 7am in the morning and i only nipped on while I waited for dinner which was 12 hours ago.

If it was real money sounds like time well spent!

If not, that's a pretty good waste of time, and goes on my list - along with 'learn to play poker'... 🙂

Sadly not real money. If you wanna learn poker pm me anytime Im a very good player and would be happy to teach you the basics and advance techinques of poker I know 6-7 different types of Poker games aswell.

Once I have submitted this blasted thesis (in about 18 months time) I'll get on it! In the meantime sadly, it'll have to stay on the list, along with read Ulysses, learn to play the piano, run a marathon, learn a foreign language etc. but thanks for offering 😉

(I assume you mean Joyce's "Ulysses" rather than Tennyson's or the original by Homer. In any case, they're all great, though these days, I identify more with the poem.)

In any case...I know I'm procrastinating when I lie here pecking away on this keyboard while watching "Lies My Parents Told Me" when I should be up and doing some of the several hundred things on my wife's "honey-do" list. (Oh! Spike's about to bite mis mom!)

Yup, Joyce's. It just sat there on the shelf winking at me for about 4 years, until I packed it up in a box a few years ago and put it in the loft to 'come back to later'..... like I have time to read any fiction! Last thing I read completely was 'Pretty Maids All in a Row'! And I think that was left in the bathroom for when you need a moment in your 'Fortress of Solitude'.

You know you're procrastinating when....

you want to post something brilliant to Buffy Boards...but you say,"Naaah...it can wait 'til tomorrow."

I know I'm procrastinating 'cause I keep getting told to do my homework and I've been saying '5 minutes' for about 2 hours. Instead I'm on here reading threads I couldn't care less about (That's plenty o' proof 😉)

you're sitting, twidling your thumbs, and trying to think of new ways to proscrastinate, in order to procrastinate.
