I first read Twilight (when it first came out and before it was uber-popular) mainly because it was about vampires. My daughter read it and she said that i should read it because of the vampires. I like vampires. So I get why people say if you like Buffy that you'll like Twilight ...

I enjoyed Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse - which is not to say I don't have issues with certain stereo-types that are perpetuated in the text, but hey, for a little escapism, I've read worse. I hated Breaking Dawn though, that was just a terrible book and an awful way to finish off what had been (for me) an enjoyable series.

I don't know why people keep comparing the two. They are completely different.

i am both a buffy and twilight fan and i dont even bother comparing them as they are 2 different things. Two different views on vampires which is fair enough. The plot of twilight is totaly different to buffy!
The camparing is getting old and boring now lol.

My girlfriend forced me to read the first Twilight book because she said i would love it because i love BtVS.
So i read the entire thing and i hated it.
Buffy & Angel are just so much better imo than Bella & Edward.
This is mainly because of the fact that slayer/vampire has so much more tension and drama than human/vampire.
For anyone who is interested my girlfriend swore and shouted when i told her that Twilight is a Buffy wannabe for teens.
