Gold gives You, Me & Them a second outing

Gold's first original scripted sitcom You, Me & Them is to return for a second series.
The 6 x 40-minute Hat Trick Productions comedy launched in October 2013 and averaged 149,000 (0.6%) across its first series "“ topping the UKTV channel's slot average of 116,000 (0.5%).
The recommission was announced by UKTV director of commissioning Richard Watsham at Broadcast's Commissioning & Funding Forum on Tuesday.
You, Me & Them series two will air in 2015 and stars Buffy The Vampire Slayer's Anthony Head as Ed and Torchwood's Eve Myles as Lauren, a couple madly in love but struggling with a more than 20-year age gap. Hat Trick is currently casting a number of big name stars for cameos.
The show, which was created by Great Night Out's Steve Turner, was recommissioned by Watsham, UKTV commissioning editor Simon Lupton and Gold general manager Steve North. It will be executive produced by Lupton and Hat Trick's Helen Williams. Angela Sinden is the producer.
"The first series of You, Me & Them was funny, engaging and a perfect fit for Gold's audience, and we're looking forward to even more laughs in this second series," said North.
Hat Trick managing director Jimmy Mulville added: "It's wonderful to be delivering a second series of this original comedy for UKTV, who couldn't be more supportive."
