"You should have been there B, quite a ride"

After years and years of speculation on what Faith could have possibly meant by this statement before falling into the truck I think I have finally figured it out! And I also think I am the first to figure this out because after years of searching through forums it never came up. A lot of theories suggest that Faith was trying to take one last blow to buffy but it never made sense to me.

In the beginning of graduation day pt 1, Faith tells the mayor a story about how when she was a little girl, she was the only one who would climb to the top of a 40 foot cliff and dive off into the water. I'm thinking since faiths fall was roughly 3 stories/40 feet she was referring to that cliff, she wasn't scared to fall because she has done it before, but this time she was ready to embrace death.

Any other takes on this?

To me, it was just Faith deciding that, since she figured she was dying, that her life had been better than Buffy's. She lived by the seat of her pants, did what she wanted, when she wanted, and didn't follow the rules. She had a 'quite a ride' and she was gloating to Buffy, since she knew the truck was coming and Buffy wouldn't succeed in what she was trying to do, that she'd had the best time.

I like both interpretations, and I actually think there's no reason why it can't be a bit of both. Or a whole lot of both. I'm sure she has a flashback to those high jumps in the quarry and is thinking about that a bit when she speaks, and of course, that her life was "quite a ride."
Ugh, such a heartbreaking moment, thinking about how the lives of these two extremely young women are over, or at least changed forever in an instant. Always makes me tear up when she clutches her abdomen, looks down and tries to smirk at Buffy one last time but ends up looking terrified.

Besides the interpretations already offered, I think it might also be a comment on how Buffy, by attempting to kill her, has finally crossed a moral line, something Faith did earlier in the season. Basically, she's saying that Buffy could've been there with her all along, living it up.

I like everyone's theories... Faith could have been talking about her walk on the wild side, or being able to embrace death. I also think that if that line had come later, like when they were dream-sharing in the hospital, it could have been the psuedo-crossover, and it would have fit nicely there.

I think most of all, to me, it had more to do with the difference in their Slayerness - the light and darkness. So essentially Faith's walk with darkness, and her comment to Buffy that she could have followed the same path.

Yea..this part was sad 🙁 I always wished that Faith would come around, but even in Season 7 she still had some issues and to be honest...was a bitch. SORRY Faith fans...I just never really liked her.
