And the Baileys release !
I just went in on my phone to the app and it asked if i wanted to see it! Played through loads of stuff and gave that screen near the end!

I only have the YouTube app on my phone (and I just had to check to be sure I even had that!).
These are mine from Apple Music.
As you can see I don't listen that much through Apple Music actually but I guess it still tells a decent picture of the year even if I often just listen on MP3's on the computer.
Btw. It bugs the hell out of me that this isn't a New Years thing. The year isn't over yet. Why are these created already?!

Yay! Motorhead!!!!!!
I am immersing myself in Latin dance and my favourite dance is bachata. This one plays every week:

I listened to a lot more Taylor Swift this year especially 'Anti Hero' and 'Lavender Haze' aswell as some of her 1989 songs.

I am proud that she is woman of the year.

you don't think she's a bit overrated?

That first image, I suppose like Billy Idol, you cried: "More, more, more?!" 😁

lol, didn't notice that myself. That's a lot of more.
As I'm old-school & tend to only listen to my trusty CDs.....it's pretty much the same as last year!

So lots of
Opeth
We are the Fallen
Riverside
Pure Reason Revolution
Rush
Dream Theater
Motorhead
Genesis
Iron Maiden
Band Maid (Had to include this so I don't get grumpygrams from you know who) 😉 - Though I did listen to them quite a bit 😀

Normally F/B listens & learns (Rather too well in some cases) to your tastes, but for some reason F/B seems to think I want to listen to Black Pink..... 🤨 🤔

ahh another convert, now ya gotta check out The Warning
I have just managed to find mine by installing YouTube music on my phone (which I will have to immediately delete again as I had to delete almost every cache to install it!). Definitely dance heavy. Do I dare share it?

Did I really spend five hours listening to Pink Venom?

@Last Watcher I heard it on the radio and liked it and it ended up on top of several YouTube playlists... so it kept getting played.

How'd you like that? ;)
2023 was the year when I remembered how obsessed my bestie and I were with TLC’s ”Fanmail” album and revisited -99 through it a lot. I do love TLC though. ”Fanmail” was a bit dirtier than I remembered however, but the album still ”slaps” (as I’ve heard the youth say)

It wasn’t until the wrap up that I realized how much TLC I’ve been listening to though, beyond that, way more chill or poppy than most of ya it seems 😉

Oh, The Cranberries. I've been listening to Zombie over the past month.
Spotify give you a 5 minute year end presentation on top 100 songs, top artists, top podcasts, how long you have listed for etc!
Apparently my Top10 songs of the year are as below. Although I must have hammered a couple of them in January and then not listened again all year as I cant remember listening to them that much
  1. REM - It’s the end of the World as we know it
  2. The Supremes - Where did our love go
  3. The Breeders - Drivin on 9
  4. Wilco - California Stars
  5. LCD Soundsystem - All My Friends
  6. Peter Gabriel - Solsbury Hill
  7. The Clash - Safe European Homes
  8. Blur - The Narcissist
  9. Iron Maiden - The Trooper
  10. Kenickie - Punka

So... here's my album cover.

And these are apparently the artists I listened to on YouTube. In the majority of cases, only one song of theirs.

Blackpink, Eric Prydz, Utah Saints, Puretone, Mason ft Princess Superstar, HOSH, Boogie Pimps, Icona Pop ft Charli XCX, Holly Valance, BodyRockers, Robert Palmer, The Knack, The Ting Tings, Duck Sauce, Benny Benassi, Rihanna, will.i.am ft Britney Spears, Ram Jam, Christina Aguilera, RUN-DMC ft Jason Nevins, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Fatboy Slim, The Chainsmokers, Alannah Myles, Lady Gaga, Aqua, Bloodhound Gang, Franz Ferdinand, Sam and the Whomp, Nickelback, Gwen Stefani, Kylie Minogue, Lorde, Garbage, Imagine Dragons, Fedde Le Grand, M.I.A., Rogue Traders, Band Maid, LMFAO, Macklemore, Pink and Groove Armada.

I still like the good old !? music of Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Cream, Uriah Heep, Wishbone Ash and Humble Pie with Ten Years After, plus the newbies (?) of Motorhead. Forget the CD's just gimme the quality of vinyl on a quadrophonic system!

-Electric Light Orchestra
-The Cure, early albums, pre 90's
-Talking Heads, post Speaking In Tongs & live albums
-Queen, 80's albums
-Edith Piaf
-Jean Jacques Goldman (french)
