So I was thinking about being cool and what that involves and I started to think about the things that I would never do, because they are cooler than I am. In a way I think that that defines how cool you are.

So what are you not cool enough to pull off? To wear? Say? or do?

Me, I would never wear dark red nail polish, because you need to be so much cooler than I am to make it work. Otherwise I say or do most things, because I've got this arrogant side to me (if you know me really well you know if that's just for show or real, or at least I hope so).
 
Im not cool enough for vests. Don't look too bad on people with some form of muscles, but I just look silly. Then again they're a grey area, you can end up looking like a wifebeater.
 
I am not cool enough to stay out all night and ignore my homework! I guess I'm kinda square, because I rarely will go out and not do my work, like most college students.
 
feigenbaum...handling your business is cool...so is slacking and procrastinating...it's all about the style you put into the two...i think if you love the class and have some form of passion for the work...then that's the coolest...

xand man...not cool enough for vests??....go bulk up...get all swollen...then no one will have a problem with you wearing a vest...

jolly ape...i believe i wore like a periwinkle purple nail polish during the summer...the gurls inprisoned me and went to work...they plucked my eye brows...which was painful...cause they were junk...and they painted my nails...i kinda liked my nails purple...they were nice...i don't think i could pull off red either...but i'll work on it...lol

for the culture i live in...wearing a wife beater is a hard thing to do...first of all...you got to be a rough neck...or else you don't pull it off...then you gotta have some definition....then you gotta have some ink...and after all that...people won't think your thick...they'll just think your a show off...and nobody likes a show off...i have pulled it off but i don't like being a show off...i feel all self conscious and stuff...

coolness...hmmm....it's all in the walk for me...people that have a subtle yet noticible swagger...are falkin hella cool...it's all in the swagger...

I think you can rock anything if you have the confidence. Although, certain things aren't meant for certain people. Just find something comfortable, that suits your tastes, and rock the hell out of it. Now that is cool.
 
I'll agree that anyone with confidence is cool enough to pull off anything. I've never thought I was a) cool enough or b) had good enough legs to wear skirts any shorter than just below my knees...and then I found shoes that made my legs look so amazing that I actually felt bad about NOT showing them off. So I finally had the confidence to wear shorter skirts (I still don't do minis, just because they're not comfortable for me) And I wouldn't say I stop traffic, but with confidence in the way I carry myself, oh yes, I have turned heads.(Not trying to brag, just an example! 😉 ) And that's what a little confidence boost can do for you. It boosts you that little bit, so you get compliments and even MORE confidence! Yay!!
 
While I may not be cool enough for my assless chaps, I defy the constraints of cool and wear them anyway.

In addition, I am not cool enough for a beret.
 
berets...i guess they're cool on gurls...if a guy wears one and he's not like special forces...then it's just dumb...

i think that...i'd look good in a skurt...my legs are pretty bad ass...

That requires exercise and effort (or drugs) and Im too lazy. Im dandy with my skinny guy physique.

Depends who (even a guy) & how they wear it... sometimes it turns out nicely, I saw some... seldom but still, that exists.

I'm sometimes cool, when I have something stuck in my head, or when I'm tired or wanted people to live me alone... but most of time i think I'm a warm kind of person 😉 :hihi:

For the other meaning of the word, well, I'm crazy & everyone knows crazy & cool don't get along so... 😛

LOL my bother and his friends used to do that a couple a years a go, they would run around my moms street naked... it was hillarious.
I'm not cool enough to wear whatever I want and still be cool.
I am so cool that whatever I wear I look like a nerd (hm, did that make sense?).


But, I am a friend of Fran's, so I've gotta be at least a little bit cool, right..?
 
I was uncool before uncool was cool... 😉

I see cool as beauty. In the eye of the beholder (or beer holder, depends who you're talking to.)

Though I take COOL as an insult. Since I learned fvrom an eight year old that COOL means Constipated Overrated Outdated Loser. I'll stick with nerd, thank you.
 
SG: in Norway, there is this tradtion in my home town(on 16 of mai), every year, the seniors in High school, wear these jumps suits(red, black or blue) and they party from the 1-17 of mai(they go to school in the day, party the rest of the day and the night.... it's alot of FUN!!! i met my boyf doing that.. sorry side track) well on the 16 of mai, people get really drunk(or the once with most balls, i.e girls and boys) do this sober, still they run naked through the main street of our town, and i know a guys WHO didn't graduate high school, but still he does this every year, for fun... sober, walking naked as the other people run as heck.... and he even stops and talks to people, naked... though, generaly i don't see him as cool. but at least he does!)

SILVE: i like Nerd to! i think nerds are cool! (in a good way 😉) that was fun descript of cool BTW!

i can't pull of assless chaps! LOL(i'm with you that OneeyedX)... though i have run naked down the street, well i was wearing underpants, so half naked,
i can't pull of a ultrafeminein style.... short skirts, or dresses, high heal. or a reppy style(in a cool way.. my sis is a cool prep, i could never pull that of, then again my sis is COOL as heck! )

but as of saying, i can pretty much say anything and pull it of, it's like Jolly said, it's because of my arrogant side.

i don't really kniw what else though.... 😛

Heh, I was just thinking the opposite. Eh, that the fact that I'm your friend makes me somewhat cooler... I hope so.

But I could never wear a hot and skanky outfit because I'm just not that cool to be able to get away with it. I so wish I was, this hobo-chic thing is getting boring. And I'm starting to thing that I'm just hobo minus the chic.

i tend to wear what i want and not think about whether i can pull it off or not.
