Your Battle Strategy for the Final Battle

I'm not good with battle strategy, but one thing I would have done, would have been to train the scoobies WITH the potentials so that they could have a valid fighting chance too. Something better than their limited battle experience. Also, I would have called in the Initiative too...

Two words: nuclear f***in' weapons.

No muss. No fuss. The town was already evacuated. Also, it has the added bonus of irradiating Sunnydale (or what's left of it) so that stupid people will stop moving there. I mean, sure, houses are probably really cheap there, but one would think the mortality rate would ward off newcommers.

nuclear weapons? First, where are they gonna get them. Second, they would all die if they detonated it. Third, the radiation would carry over to neighboring towns

1. They could call up the Initiative. They are a shadow government and I'm sure they could get their hands on a few. Alternately, they could buy one from Russia with the change found in the Summer's family couch.

2. Remote detonation. Or have Andrew set it off, no big loss there.

3. A low yeild weapon detonated under the proper wind conditions would minimize (possibly eliminate) the amout of fallout to hit neighbouring towns.

4. I'm 99% sure I wasn't 100% serious.

Simple. I would assume, based on the number of Turok-han, that it would nearly be suicide going down to the hellmouth, so instead of blocking basement exits, I would block the entrance to basement room over the seal, and post some of the Potentials and 'civilians' outside the door, just in case. Kennedy and another potential would be with Willow in the office. I would then have the rest of the potentials, about 2/3 of them, + Buffy, Faith and Spike, go down into the hellmouth, while 1/12 stay in the seal room as back up. I would station 3 slayers to defend spike while the others just kill turok han. Willow would set the spell off before they went down into the hellmouth, but not to soon so the First would realise and prepare. Buffy would call her on a radio/mobile phone.

When Spike's amulet starts up, They could get the slayer's outside to unblock the exit so they can escape. Any Bringer's that come along, will be easily slayed. And the Gang can escape in the preprepared schhol bus.

There you go, much better thought out. But considering how well the battle went on the real thing, i would have felt it unnecessary. Of course, in real life, with continuity working, Buffy's plan would have sucked.

Only one problem. Unless she is psychic Buffy had no clue about how and if the amulet would work. Therefore she couldn't plan for Spike's sacrifice to make her win.
