To quote Dawn, have you ever had a "meat party in your mouth"?

Whats the story of the best burger you've ever tasted?

Mine was on a Surfers Paradise beach after a long night of clubbing. It was a whopper with cheese from Hungry Jacks at 3am and still one of the best burger experiences of my life 😀

Can't say I have one, but not really a burger fan. However on Saturday there was a burger van in town, and queues all day for it. They handmake the burgers, all fresh food, award winning stuff. Them being in town certainly boosted our sales

I don't remember a specific burger but I do know that the really great ones were always homemade on the grill and not one from the run of the mill burger joints.

I had a burger, fries and shake here years ago in NYC and I don't really know why it stood out but I remember the burger and fries being perfectly crispy and tasty. It just had that rich flavor and wasn't greasy or messy...wasn't undercooked or overcooked, it was perfect. The one in Chelsea NYC closed 😭

My cousin makes the best burgers, especially when grilled. Not everyone likes them as he often chops up peppers and sprinkles a little cayenne into the meat. That's before the jalapeno slices get added. The only change I'll make, when I can, is to use dijon mustard instead of regular, but that irritates him if he sees me do it, and might ask me if I couldn't afford Grey Poupon instead.

At a restaurant, I'm not so sure. I have a memory of Whataburger being good, but I was both tired and stoned at the time, and even if it was, it was over 20 years ago and is probably different today. I feel like I got an awesome, thick burger at some independent (no others in it). But all I can remember was that it was by a beach, I think maybe Venice, California.

I don't make a habit of fast food, but In-N-Out tempted me to make an exception because of their burgers and fries (and though it costs, they give you a lot more than the others so I think it's cheaper). I'd get something specific, I think (not sure) also with jalapenos, but I can't remember what. I went a few times when it was out of my way so they were doing something right.

There used to be a chain called "Licks" in our province and they not only made great burgers, I actually preferred their Nature Burger, one of the few vegetarian burgers that was better then the beef burger. They are gone now, but it was great while it lasted. For a while, you could get their burgers in grocery stores.

When i was in high school I had to do a solo stage performance that I wrote and acted. Mine was about a food delivery girl who eats the food shes supposed to be delivering when her car breaks down. it was funny, whatever, the point is I got a Quarter Pounder with Cheese meal as a stage prop. I was very very nervous but somehow eating that burger on stage put me at ease and I nailed the performance. I finished the rest backstage and I've loved quarter pounders with cheese ever since 🙂 lol

Great story!
Meat party in my mouth... We were having a barby at the beach and more than few beers:

From thus the Ultimate Burger was born, I took a burger, put two sausages some fired onions a slice of cheese Gherkins and Ketchup, put a burger on top...

The next 10 minutes was roller coaster ride of sheer delight, the meat sweats and regret.

I don't think I've ever met a burger I didn't like, to be honest.

I do prefer making my own though, because I prefer game and can make them with wild boar or elk, which I love, but I don't know, people in general are often sceptical of game. Especially boar.

If you want to barbecue it, the trick is to boil it first, or it's a chewable as a squid. If you start by boiling it, it'll melt in your mouth once it's off the bbq!
What's the difference, taste-wise, between boar and pig? I just figured they'd be the same.

No, I don't really like pig. Boar is lean and, well, gamey. Around here most people abhor it, it's a darker meat than pork and it can be trickier to cook.
I can't say what the exact difference is, it's kind of a mix between deer and pig I guess.

very interesting! maybe free range swine is the thing to eat
The title reminds me of that HIMYM episode where Marshall is looking for the burger that he ate when he first moved to NYC.
