Your Bra Personality

I don't really think you can read much into the figure accept that maybe a few extra males buy issues when such a thing is on the front cover.

Such a "thing is on the front cover" 😉
Just messing with you.

I disagree though. I'd sooner buy a magazine with a cover that I thought was visually appealing.
Now I don't buy magazines like that anymore but in the past... certainly I did. When I was young I felt like one was striving to be like those covers, hence, the prettier the better. Sad but true.

I've read (though I forget where now so don't quote me on this 😉 ) that when they put men or less "glossy cleavag-y" kind of pics on it they sell less issues. Not sure what that says about it the majority who purchase it (pressumably women).
I actually don't care who's on the cover most of the time. It's more of the headline titles that get in. Sometimes they have hot women, sometimes its women I don't like, but there's always the word sex somewhere. lol.

I don't mean that it's about a "who" but about "how"... i.e. how it looks. And whoever is on the cover it tends to be a bity sexy, going right along with those headlines ;)

I was just clarifying that i don't buy it because of the "sexy" woman on the cover. It might catch my eye. But unless it's someone i like or has really good articles, i don't buy it.

Medium has an article on the evolution of magazine covers. One that they talked about was, fittingly, Cosmo.

SMG! I so want that issue now! lol
I had no idea that Comso has been around sine 1900. That's crazy! But I think the progression reflects societies view on women, unfortunately.

This is so silly. I'm sure most just do what is easiest/quickest/most comfortable without putting any thought into it.

On a side not I do think its silly when stores cover the front of Cosmopolitan magazine. The magazine is over the top but is it really 'pornographic' enough to warrant censorship?

This happens?(!) Wow. Definitely doesn't happen here. I'd say the Cosmo covers are sexy and in your face as it works as a marketing device, not pornographic. Some shops here don't even censor the porno mags - they're just placed up high on the top shelf.

Gosh. Well I guess if they're concerned about young people buying it as they deem it to be pornography, that may backfire as censoring things usually makes people want them even more.
Yup! Crazy huh? Walmart and Vons puts them behind blinders and more stores are deciding to do the same.

Wow I didn't know that. I'm sure that some parents don't want their kids reading those "Sex" related cover titles. I do remember seeing Cosmo as a teen probably, but didn't start reading it til I was in my 20's. I read Seventeen magazine, which is basically a toned down teenage version of Cosmo. And of course the kids could always pick up the magazine out of the sleeve and then read the headlines. Its up to the parents I guess. If the kids start asking questions.
