Okay, so I've been challenged by some friends to make a CD of all that cheesey Britpop music. I'm talking Boyzone, Take That, Westlife...

So help me out - what would be your ultimate "everybody needs a little cheese in their life" mix?

huh, Boyzone, Take That, Westlife...yep, that about sums up my cheesiness, lol.
maybe throw in a little Steps, S Club 7, Busted...oh, what was that song that was out in the early/mid '90's? 'Saturday Night' by, Wigfield, i think...? i think that's as ceesy as it gets!
 
I know little to nothing about this subject, but the first name that popped into my head was Billy Piper. :lol2:

I've reached White Riot by The Clash...apparently the oldest grandson has now got the latest Slipknot cd...but that goes beyond cheesey into shi'ite, doesn't it? Oooh...it's The Damned now with Neatneatneat...

If you're after really cheesey you could do worse than re-visit the 70s...sorry, I've got to Bowie now on the mp3s...try Mud, the Bay City Rollers, Alvin Stardust, Gary...shudder...paedophile accusations...Glitter, Slade and Wizzard (I actually like the last couple 🙂)
 
I'm holding off on "classic cheesey" and going for "boy band cheesey" at the moment, but I'm sure there are going to be later installments. Now I'm compiling all these songs I've got to get them into a playlist somehow lol

I've got both Minogues and a Martine McCutcheon song lol. All Saints. Rachel Stevens, the Corrs. And of course the aforementioned Westlife, Take That, S CLub 7, Steps, East 17, Boyzone & Billie Piper. And Electric Six lol

I don't think anyone's mentioned the ultimate in manufactured 90s boyband pop...Take That...in hindsight they were really very good but not as good as the original boyband...The Monkees! I defy anyone not to like the perfect pop songs they produced in the 60s...Daydream Believer, Last Train to Clarksville, I'm a Believer...absolute pop gems, every one 🙂
