Your Cheese Mix

Torture huh? Excuse me I have something I need to umm..... *runs off to find unsuspecting victim i mean friend*

Those lists are absolutely horrific. Why would anyone wanna make a CD like that?

I do love Aqua though.

My idea of cheese is Stuff like Queen: Dont Stop Me Now and various things like that. Cheesy but also fun. 🙂

On behalf of my nation, and I think both North and South can be united in this, I'd like to apologise to the world for Westlife. We're so, so sorry. We take full responsibility. We're so incredibly sorry. You know that video where all of them are standing conveniently close to a cliff? That was our chance, and we let it pass. We're so very sorry.

EDIT: Oh, yeah, and the Eurovision stuff inclusive of Riverdance, sorry for that too. Rock & Roll Kids, WTF?

(You've got East 17's Stay Another Day right? )

Ohh, I have more.

5ive - Slam Dunk da Funk
5ive - Get on Up
Ultra - Say it once
911 - Don't Make Me Wait
Ant and Dec - When I fall in Love
Upper Street - The One
Phixx - Wild Boys

Maybe Lord of the Cheese is a better title for me....

oh, Ant and Dec - 'Let's Get Ready to Rumble'
i think that's the ultimate cheese...at least for me anyway. God, if my Gems knew i was writing this...lol.

Damn I forgot Ant & Dec lol

Okay here's the story on how this horrible project came about lol....

So I'm down at the pub and my mate who's the barman has made this CD to play during his shift. And LO AND BEHOLD in amongst the Stone Roses and Oasis is RONAN KEATING! So of course he was mercilessly made fun of. Which he came back with "Everybody needs a little cheese in their life". And I admitted to owning Boyzone and East 17 CDs lol. And he asked if I had any Westlife, and then the idea came for me to make a little mix of all this cheese.

😀

Hmmm, I have that CD!!!

As much as I quite frankly adore EVERY song on that list(bar Against all Odds and Sweet Dreams my LA ex!!!!) I personally would have some issue with what you define as cheese in some(granted 1) respects.
All that she wants is a modern classic not a cheesy classic. I feel that if Ace of Base SHOULD be on your list then 'Life is a Flower' is a better example.

Coincidently, they weren't known as Ant and Dec back then. Their pop names were PJ and Duncan.

THIS is why I changed my name from Psychotic Jackass to Fiver. People kept shortening it to PJ and whenever I saw it the words "lets get ready to rumble" popped into my head. So horrible and cringeworthy.

Damn I forgot Ant & Dec lol

The Stone Roses debut album was the greatest debut of any band ever. Don't tell me you're a Roses fan young lady, it might be enough to make me fall in love. Should I start laying on the charm?? <- Which might just be the biggest cheese alert in this thread.

Okay, so though I wouldn't call it a modern classic, that one is on there for the very specific personal reason that when I was in Germany that song was ALL THEY PLAYED and it was about three years before it came out in the US lol

Not unless you're Ian Brown in disguise 😛

I actually used to like Westlife *hangs head in shame* but in my defence I have a weakness for the Irish. Its something i've tried to control but well I just can't resist them.

As I mentioned to you on MSN hon the height of cheese should always involve the 'S Club Juniors. It wasn't bad enough we had the adult version we had to have some brats do it as well.

When I was 18, I used to hang with a 'Gay' crowd. So come monday night it would be a Pink pound night at the local HomosexSaloon so we'd go down.
This was the time that Westlife was just hitting it big and if you people know ANYTHING about what I affectionately call the 'Gay Boys' you will know they love themselves the boybands.

For the best part of my 18th, 19th and 20th year 'pon this planet I had to endure Westlife ALOT.
Flying Without Wings
Swear it again
Fool Again....this is the worst offender
Uptown Girl
Seasons in the Sun(cover)
and there Christmas song I have a Dream(covering ABBA - blasphemous)

...and we're pretty sure you are not a looker either...😉

Little miss Lang, why would you even say that? If my ego wasn't two inches short of a perfect score, I might've taken that personally. Lets be honest here, KD, you just want to see a picture of me, dontcha? Don't let it bother you that you're 'curious', I get asked a lot. I think though, that perhaps you have a confession to make to your better half ( I say better, is that stating the obvious?)

A part of me believes that the myth is more powerful than the truth, but if the myth to you is that I'm not much of a looker then I have to worry that that's the myth for others as well.

Dispelling any misconceptions.

you wanna know the full range of my cheesy-ness?
i went to a Steps concert too! in my defense, i only went 'cause my sister's a huge fan and i bought her the tickets for Christmas...oh hell, i don't have a defense.

Oi! Kylie's not Cheese! She's a special genre all by herself - Kylie! I've got me some pretentious art rock tastes and a growing devotion to Canadian indie, but I'll say it loud and proud, Kylie Minogue is magic. Danni Minogue on the other hand...

Also, I grew up in the Kyle + Jason era, less formative to me than the Shane + Angel era, but fondly remembered nonetheless. Actually, something I've always wondered... is Kylie famous in the US? Would the average American know who she is beyond the odd Moulin Rouge cameo or Madonna t shirt?
