These are favourites more than who I think are the best actors.

Actresses:

1. Helena Bonham Carter - She's just great in everything.
2. Meryl Streep - Again, fantastic in everything. She can say so much with so little.
3. Cate Blanchett - She made a perfect Galadriel, and I love the seriousness she can bring to characters.
4. Kaya Scodelario - AKA Effy. She stole the show for me when she was totally silent. She only needs to give the camera a look and you get it.
5. Patricia Quinn - I only know her from Rocky Horror, but her Magenta was perfect, especially given the lack of direction/time etc. Plus, she's hilarious, judging from the commentary.
6. Nicole Kidman - Yeah, yeah, shut up. The girl can fall in love, and that's what she's meant to do. She does it so well.
7. Claire Danes - I loved her Juliet so much. Plus, her hair is amazing.
8. Tilda Swinton - I don't know why, really, I just love her. I sat grinning all through her part of Benjamin Button.
9. Catinca Untaru - The little girl in The Fall. Only thing I've seen her in, but she gave the best performance of a child actor ever in that movie.
10. Julie Benz - From Darla to Dexter, she's consistantly great. Plus, she is the queen of the cheesey line, and she never lets it show.

Actors:

1. Ian McKellen - His voice, his Gandalf, and Extras. Love him.
2. Johnny Depp - Usually because it means I'm watching a Burton film, but he really is very good.
3. Jim Broadbent - Heh.
4. Alan Rickman - He's kind of getting typecast nowadays, but he's still good. Plus, he was brilliant in Dogma.
5. Richard Schiff - AKA Toby from The West Wing. Big grumpyface. Loved him.
6. Stephen Fry - He's not the best actor in the world, but I'd go out of my way to see a film with him in it.
7. Michael C. Hall - "But...that's Dexter! DEXTER! 😵" ~ Me watching Six Feet Under for the first time.
8. Gary Oldman - Despite his creepy-winky Godfather Sirius, I still love him.
9. Hugo Weaving - In comparison to Cate Blanchett. He was an awful elf. He was Smith-in-a-wig.......and I loved it. Rogue eyebrow and all.
10. Mitch Hewer - Ok. Ok. He can't act. But he's pretty enough for it not to matter. (sw)
