There were several apocalypses on the show. None really ended the world, but they still call them apocalypse.

So which one did you like best, and for what reasons?
 
If one can "like" an apocolypse . . . haha . . . I guess I liked the one that Glory was trying to pull. I usually dig dimension play in my TV. And she was going to bring another dimension into this one and tear everything up.

I also feel like this apocalypse had a huge affect on all of the characters. I liked how everyone developed and I, of course, loved The Gift.

I love the big scene where Buffy refuses to kill Dawn and I love how everyone tries to work together on this one. Yeah.

I agree with the Gift. It felt the most epic to me for a reason. Perhaps because it was originally planned to be the series finale.

The first thing that popped into my mind was that I love the AI teams fight with the Beast in Angels s4 and the horror he brings (before evil Cordy comes into play. I still love the season but I find her less threatening than 'the beast' which, by name only at least, sounds a bit more formidable even if he was a tool.)

Buffy is harder to choose. I really like the Gift as the stakes feel very high, but I would have to say that my favorite Buffy apocalypse is probably the one in "The Zeppo", I love the big fight and all emotional scenes just played as a secondary story while you follow Xander's journey through those same days. It's more awful in a way to see others live their 'normal lives' (not that Xander's is normal) completely unawares that the world could end... and it's not really how one is used to seeing great battle stories being told 🙂 So yes, The Zeppo rules!
 
I'm a fan of the epic Angel sesaon 4 appocalypse, too. Of course I have conflicting views on it myself but I can't lie, I was hooked and enthralled at the cinematicness of what was going on. As far as Buffy goes, I still think the Becoming appocalypse is my favorite because of all the emotional baggage. And yeah, The Zeppo, hahah.
 
This really difficult...all the battles are so epic.

I think I'd say S3 Graduation Day. Although I dislike most of season, I have to give props to the finale with all the students just takin the Mayor's vamps down. Then Buffy has to run through the whole school, then it blows up and bye-bye non-realistic looking Mayor Wilkins in snake form.

And the Zeppo is awesome. I love that episode. 🙂

For Angel...

I can't really remember many of them. The one in S5 I guess.
 
Season 6 Finale is my favorite (because I love Willow whether she's Vamp Willow, Dark Willow, or yummy Regular Willow), but it's not my favorite Apocalypse.

Season 7 is amazing, as is Season 5, and Season 4, and Season 3, and Season 2.

And I love the naivety in Season 1.

You know what.... I think I just really, really, really, really love Apocalypses. 😛
 
Season 2 becoming, my first apocalypse, I loved how dramatic it was, how I had no idea what would happen, and how emotional it was

Same heeeeeeere! Angel season 4 *apocalypse* was epic. I still remember the first time I watched the show, I took a break at the end of s3, and then I started s4 like a month later and damn the arc between 'Apocalypse Nowish' and 'Inside Out' was so engrossing!

This is my favorite part of the 'Verse, fo shure.
 
Angel season 4, for sure!

An honorable mention to "The Zeppo" though, it's one of the few episodes where I like Xander. It's so unique too, the apocalypse isn't even the focus of the episode 😀

Oh, I think my favorite is probably The Gift, too. I thought it was really cool/original . . . and I have a thing for tragedy, so the ending gets me every time! I appreciate Joss's willingness to break the viewers' hearts.
 
Favorite Apocalypse? Hm, I'd have to either go with Angel season 4 or The gift as well 😀

I think all the Apocalypse's were great though!
 
Becoming or The Gift were my favourites, I loved the build up to both of them.
 
First one that comes to mind is the Zeppo.
So funny with an apocalypse that you barely get to see. 🙂

Angel season four was my favorite the way the scenes played out it was actually kind of beautiful for being an apocalypse.
 
I liked the apocalypse in the Season 6 finale best.

One reason is that it's caused by Willow. It's really interesting, because she's one of the Scoobies. I like the conflict cause by that situation.
She's their friend and they don't want to fight her, but she fights them.

It's also the most untypical apocalypse of the show. Willow doesn't want to do harm to humanity or make the earth a world ruled by demons. She wants to end the pain.
And this time, Xander is the one to save the world. I love the relationship between Willow and Xander and the ending is really touching.
 
The Angel season 4 apocalypse was my fav. It became the focus of the season really, not just the ending, so yeah. Season 4 of Angel, for the epicness.
