Your Favorite "Bad" Movie

Bend it Like Beckham. It's like everyone from my school, especially my friends, all hate it. Haha, but I love teasing my friends with it. Like my best friend, Yasmin, I call her Yassminda for fun and it freaks her out, lol.

I love Bend it Like Beckham! i don't think i would class it as a 'bad' movie though but that's just personal i suppose...

for me a bad movie that i love is Joe Versus the Volcanoe with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan, ridiculous and crazy, panned by the critics but i just really enjoyed it.

But, I have to say, B movies are ALWAYS a hit when Mystery Science Theater is involved. I could just mindlessly watch that for HOURS!

I have several. Van Helsing, The Grudge 2, Turistas, Pulse, Catwoman (mostly for Halle Berry)...

Although to be honest most of the DVDs I own weren't hugely successful with critics. I don't ask that much from a movie...just to be entertained. Sometimes I do like pretentious award-seeking movies but after I've been working all day I don't necessarily want to come home and watch some heavy-handed movie about the human condition or philosophy or whatever.

Joe Dirt. I can't tell you why I even like it so much, other than I love David Spade (who's Kate Spade's brother-in-law, btw...there's your trivia for the day, lol) AND it has Kid Rock in it!

Oh! And League of Extraordinary Gentlemen! Peta Wilson rocks!

Any horror movies that are bad are, to me, good. Evil Dead 1 and 2. Candyman. Friday the 13th. So many more but I won't list them all.

And I know this is going to cause havoc for me calling it a bad movie... but it really is the worst of the worst - Bring It On. Very enjoyable.

Has anyone ever seen Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter? It's poorly made crap, but the concept is soooo weird that you just can't help but love it.

Judging a movie based on budget is a horrible generalisation to make. There a plenty of "good" movies made on shoestring budgets. One of my favourite movies of all time, Reservoir Dogs, springs to mind. Budget is not what makes a movie; it is plot, the message, the cinematography and originality amongst other factors. I'm not a movie snob by any means - I'm just as likely to sit down and watch Josie and the Pussycats as I am to watch The Cabinet of Dr Caligari - but any movie that is basically a replica of any other high budget films released around the same time is, to myself, not a good film.

I don't know anything about film at the end of the day, and what someone enjoys and looks for in a movie is entirely a personal decision that no one can change your mind on... I just felt the need to stick up for my decision of Bring It On being a "bad" movie!

Years and years ago I saw a movie called "Hercules Returns" one of the funnist bad movies I have ever seen. I really should get it out and watch it again...

I love "Dude, wheres my car?" I think moreso for the memories associated with it rather then the actual movie itself 😀

I love the evil dead triliogy. Who doesn't love "shop smart. shop s-mart" Ash?

Anyone ever seen Hedwig and the Angry Inch? Very strange very wierd movie/musical about a transsexual (right term?) man turned woman from East Germany with a botched sex change operation. It's pretty amusing and the songs get stuck in your head! And Maverick, with Jodie Foster and Mel Gibson. Horrible movie, but one of my faves since I was a kid. I absolutely love it.

I love Johnny Depp's early stuff. Like Cry Baby. Horrible, terrible, overacted, melodramatic movie. But I love it.

oh geeze!! I haven't seen it in ages but I still love Mannequin and Mannequin: On the Move....yes I know, LAME, but hey Andrew McCarthy went on to do Weekend at Bernies, which I still find hilarious.

I watched another 'bad movie' that i love yesterday, so I thought I'd add it to the list. I love the film Willow.. I don't know why because it's terrible, but Val Kilmer makes me laugh quite alot in it!

Ok...wait for it... The Super Mario Bros. Movie.

I'm a video game kid at heart, grew up on them, still a big gamer, and man...this movie was TERRIBLE. I mean, when did the mario bros have thick Brooklyn accents? I can't even BELIEVE Dennis Hopper did this movie but bless him for it. I can't get enough of how campy and ridiculous it is, but every time i see that scene where they are looking for clothes and they find outfits that look like their video game counterparts outfits with the overalls... i get a tear in my eye haha.

In the "Cute Guys with Swords" genre, I just LOVE The 13th Warrior, one of my absolute favorite movies EVER. I don't think it did that well when it came out, and I can't figure out why not....it's a great popcorn movie.

The Charlie's Angels movies with Diaz, Liu and Barrymore....yeah they're cheesy, but they're fun!

Hmmm....what else? Splash, Encino Man, Sixteen Candles....I don't know if they're necessarily bad, but they're not great.

Can't believe that no one brought up the 1984 movie Night of the Comet-basically,a send up of all those 50s horror/zombie flicks. Cheesy to a point,but a nice homage too.

(It just aired on SciFi a few days ago....well,the chopped-up version did anyway...)
