Your Favorite "Bad" Movie

One of my favorite parts is when Ahmed learns the language around the campfire and tells them all off, LMAO! The looks on their faces! And then that part when he gets the cut on his forehead and the village girl wants to put cow's urine on it.....too funny! "Boiled down!" LOL!

And my stock continues to plummet with my confession of enjoying the 1980 cult hit, "Hawk The Slayer".

This is one of my absolute fave guilty pleasures, and it's about as low budget as one can get with a sword and sorcery flick....but dagnabbit it's hilarious and fun! Worth it just to watch the late Jack Palance in the villain role, exhaling his cheeserific dialogue with relish.

I once watched a really bad horror movie with a Genie as the bad guy. I think it was called The Wishmaster or something along those lines. I remember knowing it was BAD, but actually finding it sort of funny.

And while we're on the subject of bad horror films... The Gate, anyone? Scared the crap outta me when I was a kid. I mean, yes, it has cheesy, crappy claymation effects coming out the wazoo, but... when I was a kid, I was having a big, half-dead tree taken out of my yard at around the time when I saw this movie. 'Nuff said? I lived in fear that little claymation ape men were gonna crawl out of the hole in the backyard and harass me. It's a favorite in the sense that it has stuck with me for all these years.

and another much older film most probally havent seen is "True Crime" with Alicia Silverstone. Its absolute crap but I like it despite that lol

oh and talking about older movies how about we go to movies I liked as a kid 7-11ish age range. what kid didnt like "Man of the House" with Chevy Chase and Jonathan Taylor Thomas or "Tom and Huck", or "Wild America" (yeah I was a JTT fan hahaha but I STILL think those movies are cute!)

While we're on the topic of bad childhood movies. How about "Rookie of the Year" and "Little Giants" or probally the most classic "bad" movie that kids loved. "Baby's day out"???

"The Sword And The Sorcerer" was an interesting romp, but those "Death Stalker"s were just plain irredeemable and excrutiating.

I much preferred "She" starring Sandahl Bergman, and the shameless "Red Sonja".

OM and WA, I have a challenge for you two expert combatants.

We used to get this movie series on cable here that was all old drive-in movies.

There was this one I'm always trying to remember the name of. It's about this group of biker chicks that travel around on old Harleys, but it's not Faster Pussycat, Kill, Kill, Kill. In this one they get involved with zombies, or vampires, or something.

It's one of those horrible movies you can't pull your eyes away from.

Because it sounds like you might be talking about a flick called "Biker Chicks In Zombietown", a bit of celluloid fare from the early '90's (or possibly late eighties) that stunk worse than dog shyte on a hot plate.

It aired on TV under the title "Fugitive Of The Empire" (later released to VHS under the title "The Archer: Fugitive Of The Empire"). I think it might have been 1980 or '81 when it aired. It was never shown again...and it's proposed sequels sadly never materialized.

Yeah, there were several "bad" movies that promised sequels but they never were made: "Buckaroo Banzai," "Doc Savage," "The Sword And The Sorcerer," all promised "will be returning in:..." and they never did. I read once that for every 5 movies released, there is 1 that never makes it off of the studio shelves. Maybe those long lost sequels are out there somewhere just waiting to see the light of day.

Here's another baddie: "Outlaw of Gor." Great book, TERRIBLE movie.

Probably "Final Destination 3", it's a horrible movie really but I love to watch it every now and again 🙂

Also love the two teenybopper movies of "Raise Your Voice" and "Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants". I cry everytime I watch them, nice to watch late at night before bed.

I tried to watch Plan 9 from Outer Space last week. I made it through the first 10 minutes. That was quite an accomplishment I thought.

Probably the worst attempt at horror has to be "The Night Of The Lepus," with Stuart Whitman. Imagine the world being overrun by giant rabbits! Probably the only one who would ever find that thing frightening would have been Anya.

To be honest, I never made that connection. But now that you mention that, he did have a bit of Frazetta going on there. Ahh, Frazetta...one of the last of the true comic illustrators. Him and Berni Wrightson. Don't make 'em like that anymore.

Man, looking at this thread, we all watch a big boat load of crap, don't we? 😛 As you can see by now, my big thing was "bad" sword and sorcery flicks, and a few bad comedys mixed in there, such as the "Porky's" movies. Yikes, did I really just admit I watched those? Uh...move along folks...nothing to see here. 😛
