So I've been humming the Hercules soundtrack today and I was wondering what everyone on the boards' favorite Disney songs are.

Love Zero to Hero!!! such a great song
"Part of your world" from The Little Mermaid or The Lion King's "Hakuna Matata"... it's hard to choose really. Disney has a lot of good songs :9

I was just at the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris and the hunchback was all I could think of! lol

Prince Ali and A whole new worldfrom Aladdin, part of your World Ariel and a lion king song I can't remember the name of.
 
Firstly, I am totally a child of Disney. I grew up with all those characters. Peter Pan was the first movie I remember being given on tape. I will always love Disney.

My first year of college I took a Popular Culture class and the professor spent the entire quarter ranting about Disney and what he felt is their aggressive brand marketing. He also talked about little girls and how their depictions of women are in part formed by the Disney princesses, which are of course, completely unrealistic. I don't know about that. It was an interesting class, though.

As for my favorite song, I always loved the soundtrack from Aladden. In fact, I sang A Whole New World at karaokee the other day.

Oh, and btw, if you have not yet attended Disneyland, you should. It is so completely not overrated.
 
Where is all the Beauty and the Beast love?!?!?!?

😀 It's my fave. Love the main theme "Beauty and the Beast"

But I also love a lot of the music from The Little Mermaid. Especially "Poor Unfortunate Souls."

And "The Bells of Notre Dame" from Hunchback.


I seriously LOVE Disney. I get them all the day they come out of the stupid vault. And I'll tell you, that is the only vault that I have desired to blow up, so that I can get to what's inside. For reals.
 
There are so many good Disney songs its hard to pick a favorite....but a couple I really enjoy are: "Once Upon A Dream" from Sleeping Beauty and "Tale As Old As Time" from Beauty and the Beast.

Pretty much all of Mary Poppins.

I also loved the songs from Pocahontas, particularly Just Around the Riverbend and Colours of the Wind. I got to sing the latter on stage at Disneyland with my choir when I was at school actually, was brilliant fun.

Have you guys watched all the little "dirty" parts of some of the Disney movies???
So terrible AND awesome! LOL 🙂 A few I can think of off the top of my head

1. The priest gets a boner in the Little Mermaid
2. The flowers spell SEX in The Lion King
3. Aladdin says "Kids, take off all your clothes" when he's talking to Jasmine

Don't tell me you haven't rewound it over and over!!! haha 😀😀😀:😛

A Tale as old as Time is one of my favourites, but I love the ones in the Little Mermaid and the Lion King
 
Every song in The Lion King. Every song in The Little Mermaid. Colors of the Wind in Pocahontas. Tale as Old as Time from Beauty and the Beast. And every song in The Aristocats. I think that'd be my list of favorites. But I love so much more than that.
