Always stakes in my case- just more fun that way, with some sort of risk. Whether its twenty/fifty pence games when I was a student (just winning enough for an extra pint or two at the union) or bigger cash wins. A couple of times for chores- that was fun.
The best time was strip poker though. That was a great night. 😀

Small stakes IRL with friends, but it's been a while. Online is just for fun. I have an addictive personality and I'd likely gamble my house away if I were playing for real money.

I've played for fun and for small stakes as well. IRL I've played a couple of cash tournaments with friends and finished in the money positions. I tried some poker nights at clubs and pubs as well but it was awkward timing. Online I used to play for playmoney but then sell that on for real cash. Not sure if that's a thing anymore but 10 years ago when everyone was heading online it was good. Think I made about £200 out of it. My best win was an online playmoney tournament. Finished 1st from over 2000 entries 🙂.

There must be a way of playing each other online. I used to use pokerstars so we could definitely sit at the same table on their. Not sure if you can open a private one or not. The only thing is finding the time to play.
