So, we all have a favorite superhero in the Buffyverse... But outside of our "Tight little Circle", who are your favorite fictional heroes?

I actually really love Kim Possible, she was just... Amazing. Too cool for words. Tough. Unstoppable. I love her. :biggrin3: I love her even more than Buffy, surprisingly enough. For those of you who don't know who Kim Possible is, well...

I'm actually a pretty big fan of Superman. I think that it has something to do with Smallville. 😀

I wouldn't actually call her a "Superhero" (at all, really), but she's just too bada** to NOT be on my list. 😀 I'm obviously talking about Sam Puckett from iCarly...

Sam, is like, one of my favorite characters EVER. Definitely in my top three. She SHOULD be a superhero. 😀

Kim Possible karma. I used to love her when I was young too. :D
X-Men would be mine, particularly Shadowcat and Jean Grey.

Also Iron Man, just from the movies!

My favorite hero is one who I first discovered back in the '60s when I was in high school. John Carter, Warlord of Mars, is a character who some of you may be familiar with, but for the most part he is pretty well forgotten these days. His character was, however, the inspiration for someone who you might be more familiar with: Luke Skywalker, though Carter is based more on fantasy than science fiction.

Of the more or less "modern" superheroes, I would have to say that Captain America holds more appeal for me than the majority of the bright colored spandex crowd, maybe because, like me, he's really a little too old to be doing that sort of thing.

Spiderman circa 60's/70's, pre-origins Wolverine and Ben Grimm of the FF. I also have a soft spot for Miguel O'Hara (Spiderman 2099).

X-Men. I loved the cartoon series in the 90s. Love Rogue and Gambit. Love the present day Wolverine and the X-Men cartoon and always wake up early Saturday morning to watch it. I really enjoyed all the X-Men movies and am happy to hear rumours of a new one in pre-production. Have thought about buying comics but to be honest, entering the world of x-men comics seems a little daunting and I can't really afford to do that at the moment what with all the Buffy and Angel ones I'm buying 🙂

Then you must be holding your breath, waiting for the new movie, which Joss might be directing and/or writing.
Storm was my favorite for years, until they married her off.::huh1:: I pretty much like all of the "X-Factor" crew, especially Jamie and Rictor. Throw in Ben Grimm, Haweye, Batman, Nightwing, Captain America, Thor and Human Torch. All of The Runaways are ace too, well, not Klara. :confused3:

The Doctor (Doctor Who) He has unparalleled compassion and empathy. He is incredibly intelligent and resourceful and yet hilarious and refreshingly "normal". He can be badass when he wants to be and show his cocky side but is usually humble. He counts as a "Superhero" because he has saved many planets and the universe.

Clark Kent (Lois & Clark/Smallville) He has so much power and yet still believes in doing what's right. He has so much faith in humanity even though he isn't human. He believes in hard work and honesty and embodies every ethical characteristic a superhero should have.

Dean Winchester (Supernatural) I think he counts despite the fact that he dosen't have magickal powers. His was "Chosen" by the forces of Good to save the world and resurrected. He can exorcise a demon out of a human. He slept with a fallen angel. He can summon demons on the Crossroads. He spent forty years in Hell and didn't break the first 30 years of intense torture.

Seconding the Doctor for the greatest hero ever. Found a nice little tribute on YouTube.

Wow. I thought your sig quote was the only thing I'd agree with you on. Maybe outside of the Buffyverse we have things in common.
Team America!

You gotta get karma for that one :)
X-men too. I love how they're more like targic than being heroes. My fav is Rogue, Cyclops and Shadowcat. But I always wanted to be Mystique because her power is the most awesome. 😀

And Sydney Bristow. She's also The Chosen One like Buffy, but I don't really care about the prophecy. She just can kick ass, fast and super smart. 😉

I kinda like Spider-man too. And Jill Valentine from Resident Evil.

I would LOVE Sidney Bristow if she wasn't such a brat. She idolized her KGB traitor mother and was horrid to her CIA father. And in the finale episode she finally realized her mom was the villain and her father the devoted loving hero.
My favorite hero is one who I first discovered back in the '60s when I was in high school. John Carter, Warlord of Mars
I'm with you. Theres just something special about the literary classic heroes.

John Carter
Kull/Conan [R.E. Howard's Conan that is - Arnold's movie version of Conan is a complete parody]
Fafhred & the Gray Mouser
Red Sonja (Who can say anything bad about chainmail bikinis?)

Then there are the cult favorites
Ashley J. Williams - Hail to the King.

It's always good to encounter another fan of the Warlord. I sincerely hope that the @012 movie isn't TOO much of a parody, like eveything with Tarzan has been.
I don't know if she counts as a superhero (probably not 🙂), but I love Max in Dark Angel. And Wonder woman! Wonder woman is friggin' awesome, both in the disney film and her own series.

I love Max too. I tried to hate her when I had to choose between watching Angel & Dark Angel because they were on the same night. I ended up watching DA on DVD and loving and regret supporting AtS over it.

I loved Dark Angel. It's a shame that Jessica forgot everything she ever knew about acting as soon as the show was canceled. Maybe it's the blond hair.
*points to signature* There you have your answer. Although I do NOT like what Marvel did with him in recent events. *coughs*

My favourite heroes are all Marvel: Mockingbird 🙂D), Hawkeye I and II, the Fantastic Four, The Black Widow and I'm also pretty fond of the new Bucky!Cap.

My favourite comic right now is X-Factor and I love the whole crew, especially Rictor, Monet and Jamie. But they're not superheroes just superpowered detectives. 😉

I'm trying to think of some superhero movies I liked that aren't comic based but I'm kind of drawing a blank here. Ooooh, yes! I also like The Incredibles 😀

Do the Gargoyles from the 90's cartoon count? Because that show was awesome!

Wonderwoman 🙂 I used to watch the original reruns all the time when I was younger and loved her.
The Winchesters too of course! No special powers, but they are definitley heros.

Red Sonja is the first who comes to mind, she's awesome.
The incredible hulk too, but I suppose he's not a 'hero' necessarily

I've also always had kind of a thing for Batman

Superstar
Have you taken a look at Queen Sonja comics yet?
i'm not too much in super heros

my favorite heros: Harlock and Emeraldas

Aragorn

Integra Hellsing

Andrew Ryan (it is the book character they used to make Booth in Bones, but i like Ryan better)

Taake

aw I love Ryan, he's awesome :D
Super heroes...hmmm!!! I generally like those who have a dark past, or they are every day humans...not perfect like Superman. You know, he seems to me like he is flawless. And I don't really like him. So, this is my list...

She-Ra(remember He-Man and She-ra?) had been my favourite when I was little!!! I really loved her! I still do!:biggrin3:

Batman! I like the fact that he is not a completely sane person...he is not a perfect man.

Spiderman...the every-day guy, with all his problems and worries!!!

Jean Grey

Charmed ones

Anakin Skywalker/Vader...I have an obession for the guy! He is the chosen one, and yet he was so seriously manipulated that he lost his way...for love!

Mara Jade Skywalker(Luke's wife in the comics and novels!) the former Emperor's hand.

Sailor Moon, the typical blonde, not very bright in lessons, crazy about boys, whiny, but she loves her friends and she fights for good!I like her and the love story between her and Mamoru!

If I remember any other I will post again!:biggrin3:

I'm on The Doctor bandwagon (as per usual only the Tennant one, he's the only version of the Doctor that embodies what I love about him, sue me.)

Sydney Bristow: watch Alias and that's all I need to say.

Other than Bale's Batman, I reckon. Not really into super heroes so this is the only one that counts in the conventional sense...
