My personal two heroes from a book of all time are Dirk Pitt and Al Giordino. Clive Cussler thrillers are my favorites. I nearly read all of his books.
I have many Tv show heroes on my list so i only name a few.
Jack Bauer! Bad ass but still a good guy in his heart. It´s the only Tv show where i actually care about him as a actor and his character. I freakin love Kiefer Sutherland.
Sam and Dean Winchester! The two brothers are fighting demons for so long and still they never stopped believing in each other. I admit i kinda love them.
Hit Girl: From the movie Bad-Ass. Just awesome.
Hiro Nakamura: A hero with actual super powers like freezing time,teleportation and time travel. One of the best character in the whole heroes universe and my favorite.

Melinda Gordan (Ghost Whisperer) -- She is so great with the dead and the grieving. She stands off against powerful and evil presences. She dealt really well with what happened with her husband. She was ostracised as a youth but chose to use her gift to help others.
Jack Bristow (Alias) -- While I may not want to sleep with him as much as Sidney *those wigs and costumes!* I get less annoyed with him and think he is one badass agent and a loyal father.

I agree she's a brat sometimes. Especially in S3 when she was so whiny and her voice was so demanding, lol. I don't blame her that she trusted her mother. Irina truly cares about her and besides that, she's good at manipulating anyone. About Jack, I think it's fair to be horrid to him. Some of his decisions are unbelievable even he did it to protect Sydney. But I think Sydney didn't just realized he's the hero in the finale. I think she has always seen him as a hero way longer than that.

There was an '09 movie Princess of Mars semi-adapting the first book. It was by The Asylum and had Antonio Sabato jr. as John Carter (whom I recognized from Earth2) and Traci Lords (?!?) as Dejah Thoris. Thought I'd throw that out there as a maybe see while you wait for the '12 flick which will be the same thing, but hopefully a little closer to the book. It wasn't too far off, but enough. Carter needs to be a Civil War soldier!

Although I've admittedly never read the comics, I am in love with the character of Clark Kent and the world he lives in. 🙂 I watched Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher in "The New Adventures of Lois and Clark" in the 90's and now I watch "Smallville". 🙂 And as much as I used to love Dean Cain, I love Tom Welling more. 😀

I blame her hero worship of her mother and constant backsliding with her father on the fact that he let her believe her mother was an innocent schoolteacher that died instead of telling her the truth. She grew up thinking her father was a distant jerk (turned out to be busy being a double agent and traumatized by falling for Irina's lies, she later learns how stressful that is) and Irina was the perfect wife/mother. Her mother didn't have to do much to manipulate her because Sydney was very willing to believe her. As was her sister. She realized Jack wasn't the villain but she would constantly lose trust in him at the first opportunity and then later realize maybe she was wrong and he is good/loves her. It wasn't until the finale that she stayed believing he was a hero.

I think it's easier for a daughter to get closer to her mom more than her dad. And Sydney had just known Jack was CIA when she was 22-ish. I think it's hard to learn to trust him.

The Battlestar Galactica crew. Especially Starbuck from the earlier seasons, when she was awesome and not all mopey. I have an epic girlcrush on her.
The Birds of Prey (Oracle, Black Canary, Huntress, and Lady Blackhawk). And I'm not talking about the ones from the crappy TV show that ran for around 3 episodes, I'm talking about the badass, awesomely written ones from the comics. The first issue of their series' reboot came out this past Wednesday and it only made me love them more...Gail Simone is a genius.
Wonder Woman. A lot of writers fall into the trap of writing her as a preachy buzzkill or an angry psycho, but when she's written properly, she's the BEST. She's so awesome and, when she has to be, a complete badass (she blinded herself with snake venom so she could chop Medusa's head off! And then she killed a monster the size of a skyscraper with 50 heads and 100 arms without her vision!). Plus I'm a sucker for Greek mythology.
The Question. As much as I love Renee, but I'm mostly talking about Vic. He's like Rorschach only better.
Batman. Do I even NEED a reason? He's the goddamn Batman. Oh, and I also love Batgirl (Cass Cain, not that new wannabe Batgirl Stephanie Brown).
Yorick and 355 from Y: The Last Man. Yorick is hilarious and sweet and 355 is the definition of a badass.
