Your favorite season 8 character?

Besides the obvious, Buffy for me, and Xander, Willow etc for some of you...who is your favorite in season 8?

Mine since the beginning as been Satsu. I am also currently in the process of making an action figure out of her. She's gonna be awesome. She also seems cute and her being gay is also great!

Anyways, anyone else?

I'm finding the bad guys most intriguing so far - Warren and Amy, Twilight, Molter, Simone. They're the ones I want to know more about. I have the most actual affection for Renee so far, but Satsu is moving up there. I'm getting the biggest kick out of Season 8 Andrew. Need more Andrew. No wait...after shuffling all the factors, and considering affection, character development, and the ones I want to know more about, I've made my final decision. Willow...no Faith...no...

I'm definitely going to go with Buffy on this one, which is sort of weird cause I never cared too much for her. When I re-watched the whole show last year, she became my new favourite and she's managed to get a hold of that position more firmly.

A close and unexpected second is Xander. He had his moments in Season 7, but before that he was kind of a jerk on some key moments. This season he seems like a different man, a better man.

Faith's arc was pretty awesome too, and again, not something I would've expected since I'm not a big Faith fan. (I certainly always liked her better on Angel than on Buffy.)

I like both Satsu and Renee. I like Renee just a little bit more, but since I think she's going to turn out to be the traitor, I try to go easy with my fascination for her. And Satsu's just too darn cute.

Like N4H I love the villains of this season. They're among the best we've seen in all of the series. They certainly stand out more than the Demon of the Week on the TV show. Twilight is very intriguing and I can't wait to find out more about him. And I had a cardboard-crush on Gigi. Too bad she had to die, cause I really would've loved to see more of her.

As for the other main-characters, I'm just not really into them, atm. Dawn I never really cared for. The Andrew-joke has been played once too often, so he's starting to get annoying. Willow has just been plain mean ever since Season 7. And Giles, what about him, he's barely been in the comics, and he hasn't had a good storyline in ages. It's not that these aren't the characters that I love to read about, it's just that right now, my focus is not on them. It might change in the future depending on the storylines.

once again, Xander takes the top spot for me, as he did when the show was on the air. i like him in this season because of his military-type outfit that he seems to love and never takes off, and his talk with Dawn was cute, and his crush on Renee is just the sweetest thing ever.

of the newbies, i'm going with Renee. sorry, but i really hope Allycat's wrong and she doesn't turn out to be the traitor. i like her relationship with Xander, and she seems to act like she knows everything, but deep down is really worried that she'll do something wrong.

i also wanna know more about Simone, just for the drama of having a rogue Slayer who's more evil than Faith even hoped to be.

Hmm...I like a lot of the new characters but I don't feel I've gotten to know them well enough yet to name them as my favorite of the season.
However Xander (Even though I've always liked him) is ranking much higher than usual in the Favorite Characters Pageant. It's just with everything topsy turvy and everyone falling out with the not talking and the splitting up and the being on different sides of the world, Xander is the one that keeps bringing me back to the world of Sunnydale.
You see Xan and it's like the Scooby Gang again. And amidst all this strangeness, his familiarity vibe is comforting. Plus he's being such a sweetie as usual, especially to Dawn. So much so she's the only one she'll open up to. Go Xander! Hehe

I'm going to have to say Xander too (even though the original post asks for favs other than the obvious main characters) but, because he was never really a favourite of mine during the show i think i should be allowed to nominate him. in the comic he's just lovely. he sounds exactly like Xander should, he gets all the best lines and he's got the whole commander thing going for him that really works in his favour.

Xander. Duh. I loved him so much on the show and I'm loving him more now. I'm also starting to warm up to Andrew. Buffy is getting higher and higher on my fave character list. I just adore her this season.

New characters: I'm not sure so far, I think I'd like to know Leah more, she seems like a mature version of Kennedy.

If we're talking outside the Core Four, I have to go with Satsu. I liked her quirky style right from the start (the way she personalizes her outfits so they look less like uniforms, etc.) I liked the way she handled herself when Buffy chose her to go on the Willow-rescue mission, and I liked the way she was self-effacing and modest with the other Slayers about it. And when she finally got some real dialogue in Issue 11, she showed a dry, sarcastic humor that appeals to me. I'm hoping she doesn't turn out to be the traitor (if there actually is a traitor in the literal sense.)

But if you think about it, getting Buffy in bed would be the ultimate horrible thing Buffy could let happen if Satsu was a bad guy...or girl in this case. Then Buffy could claim it was a spell that made her do it, lol. She would totally say that!

Well there's only really two new characters, Satsu and Renee. There've been a couple of other Slayers but we haven't really gotten to know them. Of course, there's the bad guys, but I find that I just can't love them as much as a I love the heroes.

For some reason I'd want an issue on Leah, she sounds like a strong and smart girl. She's a better fighter than Satsu (Leah and Satsu confirmed it in #4), she knew Kenny was a Thricewise, and she's got awesome hair.

I like Satsu because, her being Japanese, I can imagine an entire family history of Samurai spirit and tradition, coupled with intense classical martial arts training and devotion to honor and duty to family and Shogun (warrior chieftain). It would fit right in with the Slayer heritage. (of course, it doesn't hurt matters that she brings a smile and a little bit of pleasure into Buffy's hectic and danger filled life, either.)
