Okay guys, there are a lot of great Spuffy moments throughout the series but what is your favourite? And why? And if I have missed one that you love then tell me which one is yours!

Sorry, was going to do a vote but there are just waaay to many options to count!

Some of my favourites include:

Fool for Love - Spike sitting on the steps with Buffy and silently comforting her. The first indication the audience had that Spuffy could really be something magical.

The Gift - "I made a promise to a girl" and flying off the tower with that helpless look. Such a moment of pure loyalty and love right there.

Life Serial - Buffy and Spike getting drunk together, Spike looks at Buffy with so much love, it's so touching and beautiful... and there's something so normal about it all.

Hells Bells - The entire exchange between Buffy and Spike is fantastic. Spike trying to pretend to be angry, and Buffy's jealously is just perfectly done.

Intervention - That kiss that Buffy delicately gives Spike is just such a beautiful moment, and Buffy seems to really give that kiss like it's something precious to her.

For me it's a tie between the kiss at the end of Intervention and the porch steps scene at the end of Fool for Love.

I think FFL tips the scales slightly, because that was the moment I fell in love with the Spike/Buffy relationship.

From "The Gift"

Buffy: I'm counting on you. Yo protect her.

Spike: To the end of the world. Even if that happens to be tonight.

Not the most romantic scene, granted, but it was the first time that Buffy really admitted that she trusted and had faith in Spike, even though he was, as he said only moments later, "a monster." She trusted him to protect the person who she cared the most for in the world, who she had already determined that, if it came down to it, she would die for. As she had said before. "Besides me, he's the only one who stands any chance of protecting (Dawn)..." Not her mentor and father figure, not her friends. Just a soulless monster who had killed two Slayers already, but who, despite all of that, had earned her trust.

Favourite Spuffy moment is probably the scene in "Hells Bells". Both are really considerate and its just a really nice genuine moment.

Fool for love is another great moment, seeing Spike so clearly upset by Buffy's pain underlined that his feelings were real, a special moment.

Yay for your first choice! Me too.
Fool For Love - Spike patting crying Buffy on the shoulder, so beautiful.
Touched - holding her after seeing "She's the one"
Showtime - Yes... the look when Buffy saves Spike.
Beneath You - When Buffy finds out Spike as a soul, and his beautiful speech about his soul.
Invervention - My favourite Spuffykiss. So sweet, lovely and soft.
After Life- "I think I was in heaven" and ofcourse "147 days"
Once More With Feeling- "Life isn't bliss, life is just this. It's living."
Chosen- Spike isn't really there, but the moment Buffy says his name, the last word of the show.
The Gift - When Buffy was lying there and Spike was crying for her. Vampire tears for a slayer, right?

GREAT list!
I haven't been following any Spuffy or Bangel discussions, so sorry if I'm stating the obvious or stepping on any toes now. 🙂

The reason I love Spike so much is because I always felt that he was way more heart than anything. Deep down I think he knew that Buffy could never love him, but he stayed true to her anyway. Unrequited love can be the saddest thing in the world, don't get me wrong, I wouldn't want anybody to go through the pain of giving your heart to someone and getting nothing in return. But it can also be really beautiful, 'cause in one way it's a love that never has to die or grow old, because it only exists with in a person. And for that person to truly believe that he has found his soulmate and never give up on that love even though she'll never love him back is so beautiful and sad and heartrenching that I can't help but to love Spuffy forever. And I think that the scene in "showtime" where Buffy cuts Spike's ropes really shows the essence of that. Him waiting for her, never really giving up:

"A knife, now, is it? What'll...what'll that...you-you can't hurt me. You're-you're just a bloody figment, you are. You're just... You. Oh."

The look on his face when he realises it's her get's me everytime. 🙂

Dude, women LOVE sensitive guys. Everywhere. xD
My favorite Spuffy moment will always be the first time that they met in School Hard. The fire. The passion. The chemistry. That was like the best 'couple' moment ever. 😀

*Comes out from the corner, clapping* "Nice work, love."
"Who are you?"
"You'll find out on Saturday."
"What happens on Saturday?"
"I kill you."

Gets me every time. 😀 (I'm not into sappy spuffy...)

I also liked the hallway scene in First Date a lot. I thought that it was really cute and genuine.

And I loved how they would play cards and banter in Older and Faraway. 🙂

I will add the moment she come down the satairs in After life and he realises that it the really real Buffy -his facial expression is just... guh. gets me every time.

Also, When they are in the grave yard after she has had the chip removed and they are explaining "There was a choice" to Giles is a scene that is pretty sweet. and of course the training the potentials/checking of ribs in Potential is very cute too.

Most of all I like how, in season seven, Spike is nearly always positioned at Buffy's right hand - it's cool and symbolic 🙂

The look on his face is both heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time. :)

The potential scene is another favourite of mine. Her genuine concern speak volumes about how their relationship developed in season 7.

God, what a hard choice! The scene in Beneath Me in the church will always be my favorite Spuffy scene, BUT...

The scene at Xander's wedding after they've just broken up in Hells Bells, and the scene in Life Serial when they're drinking together in his crypt are both basically tied. Both scenes are small not that important to the overall plot, but in my opinion, capture both the subtle beauty that makes Spuffy so awesome and the obvious sexual tension that always existed between them, no matter the situation.

Also, third vote goes to the kiss in Tabula Rasa under the stars at the Bronze. 🙂

I love all Spuffy's scenes - even the horrible one in the alley in Dead Things. All of these scenes put together tell the whole story of this incredible couple.

I love them drinking in his crypt! Blehhhhh.
i do love the tabula rasa kiss, cause its just hot.... man there are to many moments, i have to agree with joan here and vote all spuffy is good spuffy.

I agree with those who named this part of the forum.

Spike finding Buffy on the back steps in Fool for Love is a great moment.

Well, just look at Spike! Isn't he a big softie? I say YES! 😀

This is a very hard one for me but there are certain ones I love more than the others.

When Spike sits with Buffy on the porch in season 5 when she is having such a tough time I love that moment.

When Buffy acts like the Buffybot and kisses him it seems so genuine it is just perfect.

Don't know if this counts to much but when Buffy dies and her body is there and Spike is so upset that is the moment that always gets me. It is just how he looks and starts to cry.

In season 7 when he makes that speech to her and she asks him to stay.

Last the finale moment when she says I love you to him. I love it so much because of everything but because it looks like she did not want to leave him, even as her hand is burning.
So many moments but those are my top picks.

man ALL those moments are amazing. I really just can't pick, i love every moment with Buffy and Spike... The porch def makes me smile, and... I have to agree, i tear up when spike cries when Buffy Dies, it's so touching, and says so much about him.

yes i agree it showed so much about him. I just love spike and Buffy :)
Well, I always cry when I watch "The Gift", but that scene where they all see her dead body on the ground and Spike just collapses, crying...yeah, that's a difficult moment for me to watch.

Anyone who tries to tell me that Spike couldn't love before he had a soul simply needs to watch the scene again. It's clear. He's devastated.

My moment is a tiny one and not even that great but it cracks me up everytime! Its in Chosen when Buffy comes down to the basement and Spikes beating the punch bag with his little drawing of Angel on it lol

Im just going to put you two in a room and let your razzle it out... Ooh there could be oil of some kind!
I was watching parts of "The Gift" the other day and i chose to not watch the last bit. Its just too sad seeing her lifeless body there, how could anyone want the show to end like that?

Getting back on point i totally agree with Joan. That scene where he collapses shows just how much Buffy means to him. I've heard the argument that its just obsession on his part but i disagree with that.

An earlier scene in "The Gift" where Spike tells Buffy "He knows she could never love him" and thanks Buffy for "Treating him like a man shows that he really felt for Buffy, it wasn't obsession, it was love.

I think, if you actually dive into the psychology of obsession, that the reaction wouldn't be nearly so emotional. Obsession is greedy and selfish, more about the person with the obsession than the object of desire. It's obvious with the way he collapses and just sobs that he's devestated to have lost her, and not just because he never got to have her.
