I think it is going to be escorting the wonderful Willow to the Buffies 2011 😀

I don't know, but I hate it when I've misspelled something and I don't notice it until it's too late to edit, that is so annoying!

5. Your first impression of BB?
People see things on the show that I've never thought about, it was just really interesting to read people's posts here.

6. Your impression of BB now?
it's the same.

7. How has your perception of BB changed since you've joined?
It hasn't.

8. The first person on BB you remember talking to longer than just answering a question to?
I think that it was Zobo, in the vegan/vegetarian thread.. good times 😛

9. The longest time you've spent on BB in a day?
A few hours a day during the Christmas holiday..

I need to brush my teeth but my sister wont get out of the bathroom 😡

1. Why did you join BB?
Well, I was a very new fan around September last year. I only started watching in September and I really felt the need to find a place where I could discuss Buffy with long time fans or people who knew what they were talking about. I searched Buffy Forum in google and found this one. I was hanging out with my friends at the time and I remember joining with the name BananaBuffy and they all laughed at me 😛 I joined when I hadn't even seen the whole series. "gasp"

2. Did you look at/join any other Btvs/Ats site first?
There was this one, and I can't even remember what it was. It was some Buffy forum that I joined and then I was looking for it again but never found it. It was strange, lots of people hated Spike.

3. Your best BB moment?
Oh, wow...so many great things have happened to me on here. One of the main two is one that I'll cover in a later question but the other one would have to be when I was interviewed for the newsletter. I was so shocked when I got the PM. I was all 'why would they pick me?' but I had a great time answering the questions and having everybody read what I had to say. It really was great.

4. Your worst BB moment?
There really isn't one that I can remember. It's probably something stupid like someone disagreeing on my post ONCE. Or maybe it was the time where ApricotAngel (back when he was Christopher) ran into a bit of trouble with one of my soul sisters (we'll get to her in a moment) and a semi-fight broke out in a What Makes You Happy thread. But nothing really, really sticks out to me.

5. Your first impression of BB?
I think I was surprised with how well organized it was. I mean, some forums make you a little irritated and you don't want to go near them. You don't know why but there's just something about them. It's not like that with BB, it's a pleasing enviroment to be in and is big but pretty easy to find your way around. That, I suppose, was what I first thought.

6. Your impression of BB now?
It hasn't changed too much but now I think of it as my home. I think of it as the place where I've met so many wonderful people and hope to become closer to more of them. You guys are my family, I hope you know that.

7. How has your perception of BB changed since you've joined?
Eh, it's just the the people have changed. I mean, there's not different people or anything but the people have become familiar to me and I feel like I know them whether I've talked to them or not.

8. The first person on BB you remember talking to longer than just answering a question to?
NOW WE CAN GET TO ONE OF MY MANY SOUL SISTERS! The first person I really remember talking to was my adopter...zobothehobo!!!! This girl is absolutely amazing. I hate to think what my life would have been like if she hadn't adopted me. We became so close and began sending PM's that were too long so we had to send them in parts. It was funny. But I love her so much, she is my big sister and she means the world to me. LOVE YOU ZOE!

9. The longest time you've spent on BB in a day?
I generally stay online all day so I leave a popup thingy open for BB. So the longest I've stayed on is the whole day. I'm not always participating in conversations but I'm pretty much online 24/7.

10. Anything else?
I LOVE TALKING TO YOU PEOPLE ON TWITTER AND SKYPE! So, just a note...feel free to skype me whenever you want. I'm always lonely and never busy 😛 I love you all.

1. Why did you join BB? Well, Zobo invited me to the BB. I thought, well... sure why not? I know I was a little skeptical at first.

I joined the day after I had finished watching BtVS for the first time. I became so sucked into the show that I really wanted to talk to other people about it!

Nope.

3. Your best BB moment?

The Icon Contest. I didn't even think anyone really paid attention to my art because I never get too many comments on it but then I had so many votes in each round and I even won one! It made me happy. 😀

4. Your worst BB moment?

Hmm. Nothing in particular. Just sometimes I have to take breaks from here because every now and then we have unpleasant people who try to ruin the board for the rest of us.

5. Your first impression of BB?

Cool forum. But, strict.

6. Your impression of BB now?

Awesome forum! & I now like the strictness because it makes sure we have a very enjoyable time. This is the nicest and most respectful forum I've ever seen in the entire internet. The mods in this place do an amazing job! 😀

7. How has your perception of BB changed since you've joined?

I joined when I started getting really into Buffy, and I really wanted to discuss it on some forum.

2. Did you look at/join any other Btvs/Ats site first?
No. Buffy-Boards was the first whedonverse forum I looked at, as well as being the only one I'm part of.

3. Your best BB moment?
My best BB moment was probably when I got sorted into Raiden, because there were many familiar faces in the house and everyone was really nice to me 🙂.

4. Your worst BB moment?
Probably the time when I started a thread "The whole grudge on Spike," when my post about Seeing Red was a misunderstanding and caused a big debate between people.

5. Your first impression of BB?
A very large, active Buffy forum.

6. Your impression of BB now?
I love this site, and I'm very glad I joined it 🙂.

7. How has your perception of BB changed since you've joined?
When I first joined, I wasn't sure if I'd like it here because I didn't know anyone. And now, I love it here and I know alot of people on here.

Flannen and Joan the Vampire Slayer. I remember back then, I was a hardcore Spuffy and I could not stand Bangel, and I used to discuss both ships with them alot.

I don't know, maybe 2 hours at the most.

I had recently got back in to watching Buffy & Angel and was looking for a forum that was still active. Somehow I stumbled on to this one but I didn't join for about 4 months after I first browsed the site.

2. Did you look at/join any other Btvs/Ats site first?
Not that I can remember, I think its always been BB.

3. Your best BB moment?
Being nominated for a Buffies a few years ago for my art work, I was truly astounded to have even been nominated. Even though I didn't win it's made me a little more proud of the art work I do today.

4. Your worst BB moment?
I'm not even going to get in to it, but it was a terribly dark time on BB. It makes me think it was a bit like having a season 6 darkness going on.

5. Your first impression of BB?
I remember thinking I was going to get lost on the forum as everything felt so alien and that I'd be on here forever looking through all the new threads.

6. Your impression of BB now?
It feels a little quieter than when I first joined but its still a welcoming place to be. Anyone you talk to, won't turn you away and the funniest of posts can put a smile on your face.

7. How has your perception of BB changed since you've joined?
I don't think it has...

8. The first person on BB you remember talking to longer than just answering a question to?
Someone called Pink Slayer, who isn't on the forum anymore, even after our first chat a few years ago we still talk to one another every now and then on Facebook or by text.

9. The longest time you've spent on BB in a day?
Probably a few hours at the most, I'm not one for lingering on a forum 24/7 it drains you mentally after a while.

Everyone pretty much rocks on here! 😀

I got back into BtVS and wanted to find out about something. Found this place and then realised it'd be cool to have somewhere to discuss the show with!

Did you look at/join any other Btvs/Ats site first?

I think I joined one other at the same time as here, in case BB wasn't that active. Obviously, I needn't have worried!

Your best BB moment?

There's a few but those that take the cake are the whole Buffy Boards Big Brother competition and winning that - such a bizarre but awesome experience and I wouldn't have my LizzieRainbow without it 😉

And waking up to a PM inviting me to join the staff - I was giddy about that for days!

Your worst BB moment?

One, I was a douche when I first joined here and I still look back on myself in shame. Seriously. And the issues others have raised already that happened a little while ago. I don't want to get into it but having to take a good hard look at myself and those around me was difficult. But I am better for it now.

Your first impression of BB?

I didn't really have one, lol. I was so new to forums in general that I had nothing to compare it to in terms of activity, members, size or anything.

Your impression of BB now?

A hugely supportive forum in terms of members and staff. On the whole everyone here works to keep this place as we know it and I love being a part of that.

How has your perception of BB changed since you've joined?

I can now see that I'm privileged to be a part of this forum, as a member and staff member. I appreciate its size, activity and members now that I'm more familiar with forums and such.

Despite my douchbaggery behaviour OldMaster3.0 had my back very, very quickly and he still does to this day. I'm not here as much as I used to be due to my career and I desperately miss being able to speak to him in the capacity that I used to. But the dude is definitely someone you want fighting your corner and he has given me a lot of strength in all sorts of situations over the last few months. I love ya, buddy! 😛

All day when I was at uni. I miss those days!

- First, because I love BtVS and Angel, of course. And I came to Russia and go to university here and I felt like I have nothing to do. My internet time is the best part of my day. 🙂

- Nope.

- When everyone welcomed me warmly in the Check In thread and when I got MOTM of VH for the first time. I didn't expect that at all. I remember feeling goosebump. 🙂

- About a year or two years ago. When people were so mean to each other. 🙁

5. Your first impression of BB?
- "BB, why are you so big?" 😛

6. Your impression of BB now?
- It's the best forum I've ever joined. Not just the forum, the best people are here. I feel like you guys are true friends. 🙂

7. How has your perception of BB changed since you've joined?
- Some old members are not active anymore. I've missed them. I felt at home when many people I know are online. Now there's many new members. But don't worry. We'll get to know each other better, right? 😉

- All the VH'ers. I got sorted so early so I posted in our "Random thoughts or things" and "TPBM" threads a lot. Oh and Blaze. I miss her. She's my fellow Fuffy shipper and we always wrote super long PMs to each other. Very very long PMs.

9. The longest time you've spent on BB in a day?
- About 6 hours. Especially when I had 5000+ unread posts!!

1. Why did you join BB? Because Ally said that it was really a fun place to discuss everything Whedonverse and meet new people, who had the same or similar interests. And because I've always been curious about this place and had hoped that it wasn't exactly like every other forum out there and I've found out that it isn't and it is, in fact, a bit different and more enjoyable!

Like, I love the fact that we have dorms, and we get to show off our house spirit. And I love the fact that there's contests and you can post your art no matter whether you think you're crappy at it (like I do when I post my pieces) or if you're just super amazingly talented like whoa and people still love what you post, are helpful with critique's, and offer to point you in the direction of resources.

It's just a really fun-tabulous place to be. 🙂

2. Did you look at/join any other Btvs/Ats site first? Yeah, but they weren't near what the BB actually is, which is why I don't think I ever really stayed in the threads so much at the other boards. Just never really felt like I'd fit in and even though it's been a rocky journey for me over here, I'm just now starting to feel like I sort of have a place here among people and some real honest to goodness friends, which feels so amazing.

3. Your best BB moment? I think it had to be speaking so earnest about the fact that Buffy did love Spike, in the thread (can't remember it's exact name) wonder if Buffy really meant it when she said she loved him Chosen. I met so many amazing Spuffie's there, as well some who weren't and were arguing the opposite and making pretty valid points, even if I didn't agree with them.

I like the fact that you could all come together and discuss a topic, character, pairing, storyline/arc, etc. and even if you didn't agree, at the end of the day you could still be nice and civil with one another and remain friends because you had enough respect for the other person and the way they presented themselves in the argument/discussion. It was kinda nice, so I liked that.

Plus, my time spent in my dorm (Drogyn Pride, Holla!) and on the Back Steps with my amazingly awesome Spuffies (StarSlayer, etc. What up!) has been sooooo much fun as well.

4. Your worst BB moment? I don't think I've really had one, lest I've been the one to sort of get in my way around here. I know I can be pretty tense sometimes, but really I'm not a horrible person if you get to know me and yeah, for a while I was very painfully shy and just wished that other's would approach me, but I've sorta learned to just hop in there and get going with the conversation. 🙂

5. Your first impression of BB? Well, the first words that originally had come to mind were daunting and overwhelming, since it was so big and I was so painfully shy that it was just hard for me to just jump right in off the bat without feeling like I was bothering someone or ya know stepping on their toes with my strong opinions which I'm so passionate about. But, now I would say that it's a wonderful place, filled with many wonder people whom I've become sorta friends with and some I haven't had the pleasure of getting to know yet, but would totally like to.

6. Your impression of BB now? I love that it's sort of this big melting pot of various opinions. Plus, I just like the people here. They're so nice and helpful, if you just bite the bullet and ask. I'm learning that. 🙂

Definitely one of my favorite places to be. I come here often throughout the day and night and just sort of hang out and post and pm friends and try to get to know people. Of course, I don't hang out in the chatty rooms much, because that's kinda hard for me. I still feel a bit invisible in there sometimes, but I'm working on that. I think I could get the right group of people together in there then maybe I could a bit more comfortable. And I don't mean that in a bad way, I just mean people I've been talking with the most and feel a great deal more comfortable around. 🙂

7. How has your perception of BB changed since you've joined? It was overwhelming at first and at one point I was nearly ready to give up because I felt like I'd never fit in, but now that's completely changed. I have a few friends, a few people whom I pm with back and forth, I'm really getting into the credits, I've been inspired to make my own art, and I'm just really trying to make an effort and get to know people.

When I was looking to find out more about Season 8, I saw that Darkhorse had a forum that I lurked about for a bit, but I didn't join.

Was at the end of a rewatch, had time to kill so why not join a board? Not like I'd be very active.

2. Did you look at/join any other Btvs/Ats site first?
Look at yes. I checked around a lot. Never joined any other though. Why did I decide to go with BB? I'm shallow. It looked the best. Simple as that.

3. Your best BB moment?
Most things I'd consider best would be thanks to bb but not so much a bb moment itself if that makes sense. The people I've met and talked to easily trumphs anything else. Getting to know some sersiously awesome people and the feeling of helping and supporting more than a few of them.

Best bb moment is to be sorted into VH. Not that I knew it at the time. Just the way things turned out to be. Getting the Class protector award at last years Buffies felt special considering what it stands for. Getting the award for coolest member must have been a mistake though.

4. Your worst BB moment?
The thing no one wants to talk about and rightly so. Destroyed so much, including friendships and almost lead to the boards being closed permanentely.

5. Your first impression of BB?
Good looking, more active than I thought and very soon I realised that I've never met so friendly people online before.

6. Your impression of BB now?
Even more good looking, still rebuilding but active and a lot of new friendly members.
Seeing what's happened and all the work (ok I don't even see ALL the work...) the staff do to make this such a great place make me look at things a bit differently.


7. How has your perception of BB changed since you've joined?
I see the same but maybe in different ways. At first it was "just" a place with great people to have fun with. Since I'm not as active as I once was it's not the same. I still enjoy coming here but I'm more in the outskirts than in the center of things. I also know that a lot of work goes on behind the scenes to keep this place as good as it is. Not something I paid attention/cared about in the beginning. Not everything runs smoothly on it's own.

Kean or Keanoite as she was known as then. Not a very long conversation but still.

9. The longest time you've spent on BB in a day?
In the active days I'm confident I could be logged in most of the day. Closer to 24 hours than 15. How much of that was active time I don't know but it sure was a lot.

10. Anything else?
Even with all the new great additions to the members I just can't help missing a lot of the old "favourites". Not specifically the ones I talked to the most or at all but who made me love this place so much.

I have a few, you tend to accumulate them the longer you're here 😉

1. Winning New Member of the Month and being asked to be a mod on the same day.

2. Hosting the Buffies with Lyri two years ago and Darla and Faith hijacking our accounts and straight up vandalising them. ( I still see that weird baby image lol)

3. Merrick, I literally couldn't keep track of the countless threads where I have been bent over laughing because of our crazy shenanigans. Amazing house, even more amazing house mates. 🙂

4. Your worst BB moment?

The really unpleasant period that resulted in me leaving for, what I thought was going to be, forever. I'll never not be sorry for how everything turned out back then. I'd change a lot of it if I could.

We won't dwell on it though. We've dealt and moved on 🙂

7. How has your perception of BB changed since you've joined?

My perception of BB has gone through periods of extreme change but ultimately I still come back to the fact that we have one incredibly special board here. The feeling of family and our collective protectiveness of that feeling never ceases to amaze me. I haven't experienced it anywhere else. Even though there has been other shows that have caught my attention I'd only ever really want to talk about it with BB folk. It's very strange.

I remember it being me picking a fight with White Avenger. However, Lyri maintains that I picked a fight her. Either way, nothing has changed! 😛 lol

9. The longest time you've spent on BB in a day?

During the early days, when I joined just as I started my college break, I could easily spend the majority of my day on BB. It's very very rare that that happens now.

10. Anything else?

Good or bad this place has given me some incredible memories, amazing real friendships and the best friend, confidante and general other half of me I could ever had hoped or wished for. 🙂

Had this huge Buffy obsession and felt that watching the show wasn't enough. I wanted to read about it too.

Yes, some Swedish site and others. Don't think I joined any though.

When I discovered that Darla had installed my 'mark thread as read' mod.
I really missed such function while using this site and made a mod for it for fun. But I didn't want to ask anyone to install something just because I made it.
Then one day, there it was anyway, brilliant. 🙂

Personally I haven't really had any bad moments. But sure, it was that time when the board in general wasn't very fun.
Drogyn still rocked though which made me stay around.

5. Your first impression of BB?
It seemed very friendly. Especially for a forum of this size. That's the main reason I joined.

Pretty much the same I guess.

Not sure if it has changed that much actually.

1. Why did you join BB?

I needed somewhere where the Mods didn't think they were Lords of the Universe and I wanted to post my fic somewhere that it wasn't going to get laughed out of the joint because it wasn't based on the fandom characters. So, I Googled and this was the first place that popped up.

2. Did you look at/join any other Btvs/Ats site first?

Yep, for about a year before I came to BB I was a member of another Angel site. Like I said above, the Mods were control freaks, some of the members had Mods in their back pockets, and it wasn't the greatest place to be, so I got out. About three months after I joined here, I got word that some bad stuff was going down involving a Mod trying to censor another member for posting an Angel quote. Posting an Angel quote on an Angel forum, oh, the horror. So, I went back for a little while. We, um...I don't want to say 'rioted' but that's kinda exactly what it was. We rioted. The Admins shut the forum down. We came here. End of story. 😀


3. Your best BB moment?

I have a few:

Becoming Merrick's Prefect after being here for less than six months.

Being asked to be a Mod. Proudest moment EVER.

Being asked to be a Head Mod. Second proudest moment EVER.

Hosting the Buffies with Kean. Funniest, most confusing and exhausting night EVER.

Winning Class Protector two years in a row. That was pretty special.


4. Your worst BB moment?

The same as Kean's. It was a traumatic experience for both of us, but more so for me because I was the one who 'dealt' with the situation.

Looking back, I'm not sure if I would have DONE anything differently, but I think I would have HANDLED it differently. I'll always be sorry for the outcome of that situation, who knows what would have happened if things had gone differently.

5. Your first impression of BB?

WELL!! This place is run a hell of a lot better than that other pla...OMG! AVATARS! AND BANNERS!! ACTUAL IMAGES!!

(Yeah, we weren't allowed sigs, AV's or to post art or pictures of any kind at that other place, lol)

6. Your impression of BB now?

Hey, look! HOME!!

7. How has your perception of BB changed since you've joined?

Yes and no. I still feel that this is one of the most professionally run boards on the web, but I know now the amount of work that goes into keeping this board running as smoothly as possible.

When I first joined, Merrick was a very small, very quiet house, and the people in it quickly became my BB family (even if one of them deserted us and went to Drogyn!) so the people in Merrick will always come first when I'm thinking about BB.

Ultimately I think it's a very close knit community, and I'm glad now that I'm a part of that when, at the beginning, I didn't know if I could make a place for myself.


8. The first person on BB you remember talking to longer than just answering a question to?

Well, I brought a lot of friends with me from the other site (EntertainUS, Arabella and Randian) so it wasn't like I was ever REALLY alone, I knew my girls were there, but as for BB veterans, Faith. She adopted me (and then promptly FORGOT for four years!) and I remember always running to her for help or a chat, lol. Then there was Vamp Tramp, who I went to for banner help. And then I got into a fight with Allycat over whether or not the PTB's had anything to do with BtVS, lol.

9. The longest time you've spent on BB in a day?

I sort of always have BB running in the background when I'm online. Being stuck at home with very little to do, I spend a good portion of my day kicking around the net, reading fic and making art, so it's always just hovering there.

10. Anything else?

BB's the one place on the net I feel like I can be myself. I've met so many wonderful people here, the most important of which, my soul mate, I couldn't imagine my life without.

Two of the worst moments of my life were also spent here, or at least, they occurred because of something that happened here, or someone who posted here, but those moments made me a stronger person, made me a better person, and made me realize that just because someone said something, there are a dozen other people who don't think like they do. I will never EVER say that I wish those moments never happened or that I wish I could make them go away, because what's life without a little controversy?
