Hey. I was wondering, do you remember the first episode of BtVS you've seen? And what was your first impression?

I remember that my first episode was "What's My Line Part 1", and I found it quite interesting and exciting that it ended with the line "I'm Kenda the vampire slayer", so I HAD to watch the next episode 😀
 
I started from the beginning when it aired on swedish television. I was sceptical. I wasn't into vampires, the title didn't attract me for one minute but since the trailers/promos had been ok (probably meant cute girls) I decided to give it a go. I wasn't hooked from the start but it was the best on tv around the time I got home so I ended up watching. A bit silly but good enough to watch. I was in love with Willow a long time before loving the show but eventually I got to that too. The upside of not being overly social, no internet and only three channels to watch. Otherwise I'd probably never started watching.
 
My first episode was a season 7 episode. 'Storyteller'. I guess, watching this, was the reason I actually love Andrew even though, he made some mistakes and was irritating in a way...

First ep I ever saw was "The Pack". I was 12 or 13 (now that I think of it it could even have been the first time it aired in Germany), I was alone at home and I remember being TOTALLY freaked out by the scene when the possessed student eat Flutie, and I didn't watch it again until three years later because I was scared!

"Sanctuary" was the first episode I watched in the Buffyverse. But for BtVS, I rent a CDs box that's included Reptile Boy - The Dark Age. I really didn't like Reptile Boy, but I loved Halloween very very much. So I started watching BtVS. 🙂

I'm almost completely sure it was 'The Witch' - and I thought it was awesome. What I remember even more distinctly however is missing 'The Pack' for some reason and not getting all the hyena jokes later.
 
I saw the first episode when it first aired in Sweden, I watched it with my sister but I was only like 7 or so and the vampires really scared me so I didn't keep watching it 😛.. And then I saw Band Candy on tv about 7 years ago, and that was it 😀
 
My first episode was "When She Was Bad". Somebody recommended the show to me, so I wanted to try it out. I got the S2 box set, because it had twice the amount of episodes as S1, and one of the Amazon reviews said that the show was easy enough to pick up without having seen S1. I remember being a bit confused about the whole Master thing, but I enjoyed it, and by the time Innocence rolled around I was hooked.
 
I watched Buffy after seeing Angel so I started from the beginning, but my first episode of Angel was Birthday <3 I'd been watching Charmed on TNT and I kept seeing ads for Angel 'A vampire with a soul' lol so I was like fine I'll check it out. The only thing I remembered from it Angel (cause I had seen a few eps when it aired) was there was a baby that got stolen. So I gave it a try and ended up falling in love with Cangel.

Mine was Graduation Day Part 2, specifically the last five or so minutes, when I was about 9. I know I turned the TV on when Buffy was doing "The Run" through the school corridors, being followed by the Mayor Snake. And I remember how awesome I thought it was that this blonde girl and this old guy blew up a school together. XD I also remember how sad I was when I found out there wouldn't be an episode I could watch the next week. Luckily, I found out when Season 4 and Angel Season 1 started, though I don't remember how. So the first full episode I saw was The Freshman.
 
My dad works in television so he tends to watch the new series premieres to get a feel for the new shows each year and I usually watch tv with him in the evenings; so I saw the Series premiere, Welcome to The Hell Mouth when it aired. I was 11 at the time and only watched what my parents were watching so I didn't have much of a choice. I do remember really liking SMG and thinking she was so cool. My Dad didn't think much of it so I didn't watch Buffy, so I only saw a few early episodes when they aired. I do remember seeing Buffy and Angel together and thinking that Buffy was so lucky to have Angel. I didn't start watching again until a few years later when I started watching TV on my own. My friend Jenn loved Buffy so I decided to start watching it, by then it was in Season 5 so I was lost when it came to the plot so I watched to off and on through season 5 & 6 and then I watched all of Season 7 as it aired. I didn't start watching Angel until years later.
 
I remember my sister was watching 'Hush' on tv at the time and me and my friend sat and watched with her. Seriously scared me at that age. lool but i was too young to actually think 'oh i'm gonna start watching this'. It was when season 5 started airing i began to watch it with my mum and sis. Wow sounds weird that they watched it before me, they're not even fans! 😛 I was 7/8 at the time... but i never actually got the dvds and stuff until i was 10/11 years old maybe. Wow 7 years ago :')
 
I watched the first episode when it first aired in Norway back in 1997.
I remember seeing all the promos and commercials for it and I found Sarah Michelle Gellar super hot in it! So I figured I`d give it a go. And the rest is history! 😀
 
The first episode I saw of BtVS was 'Anne' from season 3. Watched that and I was absolutely hooked, hungry for more. I was quite young at the time, 9 or just turning 10, I can't remember exactly. It wasn't like anything I'd ever seen on television, and to this day there is nothing that can come close to matching it for me. I grew up watching horror movies and the like, so maybe that's what drew me in at first, I'm not sure. Either way, my life would not have been the same without the little treasure known as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and I thank my lucky stars everyday that I found it.

The first episode of Angel I saw was 'City Of...' I got into Angel a spot after Buffy and I wanted to start at the beginning. I was skeptical about watching his show because I found him a bit too two dimensional on BtVS, so I found myself wondering why they gave him his own show. Extremely glad I watched it, even though I do wish I could go back and knock some sense into Joss about the disaster that was season 4.
 
I can't remember the exact episode but it was when the bbc picked it up mid season 2, I know that the first video I bought was Angel season 1 part 1 as I had enough of channel 4 keep changing the times
 
I think it was the first episode but I don't remember. I was young when Buffy first aired. However, when I finally watched the entire series all the way through for the first time last year (actually, today marks one year after I first finished it! 😛) I started from the beginning and worked my to to the end 🙂
