I'm not really sure what i'd have to be honest..or if another series could be drawn out from it.
I think quite a few people wanted to even have a small segment after Chosen to see where the gangs lives had gone from that day, so i think there could have been a season that started with maybe 2-3 episodes of what was happening for them at that time, and then go into a deeper story line.
One possible scenario could be the return of Giles, or he's in trouble in England which could see Buffy/Willow/Xander go there etc and in return that could see one of the Potential slayers,or even Faith, keeping things in order in Sunnydale.
There on after that the gang could be reunited back in Sunnydale and we could see a return for Oz and maybe even have Ethan Rayne as one of the 'Big Bads' for that season.
There were probably still a few stories that could have been told, and there were probably enough for another series (this is just for the sake of this question so all the original cast would be in it, for question sake lol)
So i'd say if season 8 were to be a series on T.V and the comic storyline wasn't part of it then it could be outline as:
Where they each went in their lives after those events of Chosen.
A return for Giles & Oz (Oz for more of a story line with Willow,how she will react etc)
Bigger role for Ethan Rayne
Angel & Spike to have returns as well
Another possible story line that could be more for "fun" i suppose. Could be a return for Angelus and Spike (Season 2), but this time with their differences aside, but still a "rivalry" between the two.
