Your Last Night on Earth

So on Angel we saw what the gang did on what they thought was the last night on Earth before the S5 finale.

My question to you therefore is if you were in that situation, what would you do?

Honestly, I would love to say something crazy and fun, but I think that I would just spend my last days with the people I love. Every minute of that day, all of it would certainly be dedicated to my family and friends.

If I were to say something crazy, well do you think I could squeeze my bucket list into one day?! 😀

Go find my friends and ask them what they wanted to do. I'd do whatever they wanted to do... I'd eat a TON of chocolate and ice cream and then have a bonfire on the beach.

Yeah I'd want to see my family. I'd want to be with them as much as possible.

Particularly my parents and little sisters. And my brothers and my step brothers. Love them all tremendously.

I would definitely spent it with my family, kicking their butts in Trivial Pursuit.

I would most likely want to go camping, white water rafting, hiking, mountain climbing etc with people I care about. I love being outdoors and something like that is my ideal day anyway.

I had have an impromtu last Christmas with my family and friends. That is always the best time of the year for us. The house never looks better and we are never happier than at Christmas. And just like we did during my childhood, we'd have a party Christmas night where all of our loved ones came to our house. Kinda like an Irish hootenany really.

Yup, if we are going out. That's how it is gona look. 🙂

I wouldn't want to know. Because if it were my last day on earth, I'd react like Buffy did in IWRY. I'd panic!

This topic makes me think of a Marilyn Manson song, and it ends saying, "Hope that we die holding hands." I'd kinda want that. If I did know, I'd spend with time with my family and my person.

I love Anne in this episode. Absolutely positively love her. She is yet another reason why I love Not Fad Away. Anne was always a very minor character, but in this episode she is the embodiment of the MEANING OF LIFE. Yes, what she says is really that important (IMHO, of course)

The funny thing is that as a Buddhist, we are almost obsessed with death. So this is a question I think about quite often. We always think about making sure we have said everything we need to say. So everyone I know would get a final "I love you." Every who deserves an "I am sorry" gets one. I would then meditate and feel grateful for the life I have lived. I would impart final words of wisdom to my son. I would then prepare to die the death of a champion, and do so with pride.

I absolutely love this episode.
