My name is Tajana. It originates from the name Tatjana.. People usually call me Taja, Tajčika (I know č does not exist in most of the alphabets, so in English that would be spelled ch, so I guess you would spell that Tajchika), and Tajči (or Tajchi).

I'm Tabitha, but everyone calls me Tabby except my parents and my choir teacher. And a lot of times, my parents call me Tabby too... it just fits. I'm more of an independent, sleepy, fun, tabby-cat type (my middle name is Katherine, so I really am "Tabby Kat") than a Tabitha type, especially because Tabitha means either gazelle or graceful. And I am not either.

I was actually named after the Tabitha on Bewitched... as the story goes, my mom wanted a funny, clever, mischievous, sweet, pretty little girl like the character was. So she named me after her. It's an interesting way to get a name, only now when people meet me they always make witch cracks (and having a day-after-halloween-birthday SO doesn't help...) :cute:

Daphne comes from laurel tree (like some others here, that's funny), from the Greek mythology of a girl who turned into a (laurel) tree.

My dad gave me that name, it was between Daphne and Dana. I'm happy with his final decision.
