So, Christmas is over.....next on the agenda is a party? What plans do you have for New Year's Eve and Day?

Me... I think I'll be alone this year as everyone seems to be partying this time. I have Abbs so can't. A bit disappointing as I don't like being alone to start the new year off, but, hey ho.

New Year's Day will probably be just another boring day at home dealing with housework etc...
 
aww @Nix being alone to start the new years is never fun, hopefully you still have good evening though! Sometimes the best company is yourself 😛

As for me, I was going to go out with some friends, but I am sick again. No alcohol, and no loud environment. So I'm afraid my favorite holiday will also be spent at home doing nothing. My mom will want to watch the bye bye on TV (It's a Quebec thing, they recap 2014, and make funny sketches), so I might just watch that even though it's not really my thing.

On the 1st, we would usually have a family gathering, but a lot of my family is getting older, and sadly sicker as time goes by. So instead we will just go and visit my grandma during the day for a little snack. I don't mind that this year is a smaller event than usual since I should really just be home and rest anyway.
 
My New Year's Eve will be nice and quiet- no real partying to speak of. I'll be starting a S3 Buffy marathon with my niece at around 7:30 pm and going right on through to close to Midnight. Christmas is a big family time for me but New Years has always be a more personal thing- doing what I want to do with frienfds or whatever.
We'll probably still be feasting on plenty of left over party food- nibbles, chocolates and a wee bit of alcohol towards the end of the evening. Honestly I might sound like a sad Buffy fanatic but I'm really looking foward to it. 😀

Yea I also don't have plans. I wish I could spend it with my family and party a bit but I was alone last New Years Eve so it's no big deal. I might drink a bit at home depending on what my roommate is doing that night. Don't worry @thetopher I'm excited for you, to start watching S3 with your niece. I want to know what she thinks about Faith.
 
I will probably just spend the night at home with my fiancé watching fireworks at midnight on TV. New Years has never been a big thing for me, especially since I no longer drink. I might make a nice meal for us. He made us a lamb roast last year. So maybe a good meal might become our tradition.
 
Partying. Going to see Cevin Key play at a local club with a bunch of other friends. I'm getting old, but I'm not that old...

I don't party like I used to, but every once in awhile...
 
I don't have any big plans for NYE but I do have tickets for the Flordia St vs. Oregon Rose Bowl game on the 1st that I'm really excited about. 🙂

For New Year's Eve, my family always has a big get-together/party. We have lots of foods to snack on throughout the night, alcohol, and shoot off guns as we ring in the new year. As for New Year's Day, it's kind of a sluggish day--nothing special because we have already had our fun on NYE. NYD is a day for sleeping in and watching tv!
 
My best friend and I always spend New Years Eve together. We met in HS and leave now in different countries, and it's sometimes hard to see each other during school/work years so we promised ourselves that we would spend NY Eve together every year. We at least have that day. I think it'll be a quiet night, movies and drinks at her place. We're not big on partying and our worlds collide a bit, we have our own little bubble when we're together!

@thetopher I'm kind of jealous of your niece. It must be nice to have someone to introduce you to a show/music/thing. A mentor, you could say. Fun times coming your way!

I don't usually do anything on New Years, I'm at home with my parents having a nice dinner, playing games or watching movies. This year I'm actually going to be with some friends, just hanging out, having dinner, perhaps a few drinks 🙂

On New Years Day it's my dad's birthday, so we'll have the house filled with relatives 😛
 
I've never liked celebrating New Year's (people get way too drunk and annoying) and now that I have dogs going to a party is out of the question (can't really leave them alone with the sky lighting up and popping). Usually I use the time to dogsit other people's dogs for some extra cash (last year I had four at home 🙂 and we all slept through the fireworks) but this year it'll be a calm evening at home with only one dog and maybe my little brother. I have some champagne I might pop (if I manage to stay up till midnight 😉) but that's about it.

New Years "Night Of The Ninja" at Roman Martial Arts. Basically, a babysitting service for our students' parents, where the kids can play martial arts oriented games, consume way too much sugar, and then sleep on the floor until they're picked up on New Years Day. Then we go home, crawl up the stairs, climb into bed, and sleep all day.
